These are my company's displays, and I wrote a lot of software for this system! So exciting to see it flying like this.

Don't use these guys - they scratched my floor and won't pay for the repairs.
reviewed:
I purchased a Google Offer for a chimney cleaning service from this company.

My experience leading up to the service was extremely good - excellent scheduling staff and even the technician was friendly when he arrived, though he was not particularly professional looking - but then again, maybe chimney sweeps aren't ever professional looking.

He competently and satisfactorily performed the service, and attempted to upsell me on carpet cleaning and air duct cleaning, which isn't unexpected - the chimney cleaning is barely visible on the company's website.

Once the chimney cleaning was performed, he wanted to perform a free dryer vent inspection (presumably to see if they could sell me on a cleaning), and I accepted. He was having some difficulty maneuvering the dryer away from the wall, and after watching him struggle for a minute, I attempted to help him (the first of my problems). We got the dryer away from the wall, he inspected the vent and found it to be relatively clean, and upon his moving the dryer back, I discovered that my hardwood floors had been scratched pretty heavily.

I realize now that I should have made sure he took some precautions against this sort of thing (which I would expect is not uncommon - what hardwood floors are really protected against a large metal appliance being shuffled around).

After talking to the technician about the damage, he recommended that I call the company number and speak with someone about repairing the damage. The company claims to be insured and bonded - I expected that surely they would take care of the problem. The woman I spoke with initially thanked me for being understanding and assured me that they would rectify the situation, and that the person in charge of customer service would contact me on the next business day.

After a few hours past the time I was told I should have received the call, I called the number back and was able to speak with the customer service representative. She informed me that she would have to speak with a few people and would call me back within the hour to schedule the repairs.

Towards the end of the next day I called back, having not received the call about scheduling and was informed that the owner(s)/manager(s) of the company only authorized a refund for the service - not the cost of any repairs. I explained that this was not satisfactory, and asked that she request that I be able to consult a general contractor about the repairs and see if we could make some sort of compromise. She promised to call me back the next day with the reply.

Later than she had promised, she called me back and informed me again that the only thing the company was willing to cede was the amount I paid for the service.

In summary, though very personable, this company clearly does not have their act together when it comes to ensuring your property does not get damaged nor when it comes to doing the right thing when something goes wrong. Due to that fact, I would suggest you find a different company to do business with.

Pretty cool story about engineering in the medical world (and how thinking outside the box can be exactly the answer we need).
This 10,000-rpm, no-pulse artificial heart doesn't resemble an organic heart--and might be all the better for it

Whoa. Seriously good article on a serious topic that's hard to explain. A mandatory read for every man.

Great analysis on why IV, V, II, III, VI is the correct order to view the movies in. (Yes, I is skipped... And no one cares.)
Brace yourselves, what follows is an amazingly long blog post about Star Wars. I've already discussed how I'm not a huge fan of the various modifications

Johnny at Tidal Wave has been a life saver. He and his crew are handling the dry out and restoration of our floors and walls after a refrigerator line burst in the middle of the night and flooded two of the floors of our house. I actually had another company out for an assessment as well, and it was immediately clear which of the two had the most comprehensive service and the most experience with the entire process. Johnny helped walk me through the whole claim process and has a working relationship with many of the insurance adjusters in the area, so he was able to work efficiently and amicably with the adjuster assigned to my case to quickly reach an agreement on what work was covered. He has also gone the extra mile to make sure we get the replacement flooring we want from a distributor he doesn't normally work with! If you are ever in the unfortunate situation of having a water damaged house, please do yourself a favor and call Tidal Wave Response.

Though they want to make comparisons to Umaido, that's not doing them any favors. While Umaido excels at serving ramen with a rich tonkotsu broth, deliciously firm noodles, and well-seasoned chashu pork, Raku's tonkotsu falls flat with subpar flavors and soggy noodles. The service was great, and they even gave us an order of chicken gyoza as an appetizer, but even those were a little lacking (they might have been improved by a longer time in the fry pan). I'll probably be back to try the donburi and the curry katsu, but I won't be ordering the ramen again.

This place is good for what it is - a generic American seafood place. Don't go here expecting a dish that really highlights the flavors of a wonderful piece of fish, but feel free to stop by if you want an alternative to something like Red Lobster.

This is a great public park with atypical offerings like a skate park and sand volleyball courts. We love the ADA-compliant playground set for our toddler - it makes things a lot less stressful when they're closer to the ground!
