Ubuntu Core includes all the things you like about Ubuntu on the cloud, but delivers them without debs or dpkg or apt-get, using instead the new "snappy" transactional image-based delta update system for amazingly reliable updates and rollbacks of both apps and the core system.

It's carrier-grade phone technology, which industry tells us raises the bar for both reliability and security, now rendered for the cloud.

Ubuntu Core is tiny - 110MB compressed to download. It's a machine-oriented base for high volume systems in the cloud - running docker container farms, transcoding petabytes of video streams, processing terabits of real-time data.

It's smaller, more secure, more reliable and more, well, CORE than anything Ubuntu has published before, and yet if you SSH to an instance of it you would think "It's just Ubuntu, Jim!"

It has finally arrived. Our first release candidate for Kodi 14.0 code name "Helix". http://kodi.tv/kodi-14-0-helix-release-candidate-arives/
It's certainly been a few rough-and-tumble months, but we're pleased to announce the release candidate cycle for Kodi 14.0 Helix. This 14.0 release brings many updates and changes, not the least of which being the name and logo of the software. The release candidate cycle will also be the first ...

<sic>Haha, careful Keurig 2.0 owners.  You may want to lockup your device to insure that only genuine K-Cups are being used until Keurig can respond to this serious security risk</sic>.

I don't see the big deal with the new Keurig's anyways. If I want a larger pot I would just go back to drip or french press.

That atom smasher is ridiculously awesome.  Hands on stuff like that is great for kids to understand concepts too.  If you're a science interested parent, there are tons of things to do.  People 3D printing the comet to show their kids where Philae landed!

I like how everyone forgets ME, but then again that's as it should be.

If being pedantic, shouldn't we have 2.11, 3.11, and 8.1 on here?  If not then they should drop 7 and XP since those were really 2000.1 and VISTA.1 anyway.  Oh and that makes it 10 releases too;

1, 2, 3, 95, 98, NT, 2000, VISTA, 8, 10.  Then again 10 is just 8.1.1 (or 8.2).

Their was also windows 98 second edition, and xp 64bit. I know 98se had its own retail box, and cd distribution; XP 64bit, not so much.

Valid security concerns about Smart Lock in Lollipop.  I do wish we had more adoption of WI-FI Direct, but it seems all the low power advantages of Bluetooth are hard to ignore.

I'm still waiting for my Lollipop OTA update for my Nexus 4.

I'm looking forward to Material Design, and trying out Android 5.0's many new features.

But there's one feature that I won't use... Smart Lock.

I did a thorough technical analysis, and the feature just opens up way too many security vulnerabilities. Your other compatible Android 5.0 devices can unlock your other compatible Android 5.0 device... But so can an attacker. Easily.

Read my research here...

When official details of the new features in Android 5.0 Lollipop were released last week, Android Smart Lock piqued my interest. It's a lock screen contro
