It's carrier-grade phone technology, which industry tells us raises the bar for both reliability and security, now rendered for the cloud.
Ubuntu Core is tiny - 110MB compressed to download. It's a machine-oriented base for high volume systems in the cloud - running docker container farms, transcoding petabytes of video streams, processing terabits of real-time data.
It's smaller, more secure, more reliable and more, well, CORE than anything Ubuntu has published before, and yet if you SSH to an instance of it you would think "It's just Ubuntu, Jim!"
If being pedantic, shouldn't we have 2.11, 3.11, and 8.1 on here? If not then they should drop 7 and XP since those were really 2000.1 and VISTA.1 anyway. Oh and that makes it 10 releases too;
1, 2, 3, 95, 98, NT, 2000, VISTA, 8, 10. Then again 10 is just 8.1.1 (or 8.2).
