I hope when I am 82 I’m in the same mindset as she is both physically and mentally. Amazing little story from the oldest female skydiver, Dylis, who is 82 years old.

“You’re a bird for 50 seconds… it is unbelievably wonderful. I won’t stop till I know it’s not safe. But for now I’m safe, I can do it, and I will do it for as long as I can.”

This was supposed to be a 5 way scramble with another team, but the other team was grounded due to weather. A friendly competition where we had two teams trying to turn as many points as possible. We decided on 3 formations a round, accordion, and a spider. We had a mix of jumping experience. Our base struggled to get stable till about 9,000 ft. Which didn't leave us much time to turn points. We ended up only getting 3. I'm in the blue G3. This was my first time doing this type of jump and any sort of RW work. It was fun despite our base struggles.

Great TED Talk
In James Howard Kunstler's view, public spaces should be inspired centers of civic life and the physical manifestation of the common good. Instead, he argues, what we have in America is a nation of places not worth caring about.

Name and shame. I was commuting home on I-95 North in the St. Johns area just South of Jacksonville by Race Track Rd after work on Thursday 5-14-15. This asshole trucker with a vehicle trailer cuts me off by merging into the middle lane I was driving in. No blinker, no regard for what he was doing, nothing - I had to slam on the brakes and swerve off to my left to avoid a collision. Keep in mind what you’re seeing is a dash cam with a wide angle lens. When in real life the distances you’re seeing are much closer than the camera is portraying.

Great read… “I have become part of a family made up of people from all walks of life. We are joined by our desire to experience the space between sky and ground, using the very force that pulls us down to help us fly. My hope is that our resilience, and the triumphs of our explorations, will inspire all who dream of freedom in any form to take the first step.”

I'm not a Jags fan (go Colts!), but the new improvements to the stadium with the big screens, pools, cabanas, and new smaller screens all around the stadium is very impressive to see in person. This will be the go to stadium for big events now, and I'm excited to see more things happen in this stadium in the future. Shad Kahn has really turned this stadium into a city center piece; now it's time for the Jags to shine and give the city what they really need. The only other thing I think this stadium needs is an upgraded sound system as the speakers are muddy sometimes, and a retractable roof! I uploaded a video of the entire video board unveiling ceremony which you can view on my youtube account.

*Updating my review and bumping to 5 stars from 4. Recently had to come in here to get a bump on my right clavicle looked at. I am seeing Dr. Kaplan who apparently handles the Jaguar players injuries/problems. Kaplan is a pretty cool guy. Chill, fun to talk to, and very knowledgeable, but certainly not cheap. I went in 6/20/14 to get surgery and he took care of me really well. Everything went extremely smooth; from his staff with standard visits upstairs, to the entire experience of the staff in the hospital area downstairs, to the anesthesiologist, and Dr. Kaplan doing the surgery. As of this update I'm 7 weeks post-op and he said I was way ahead of the curve on recovery and my PT agrees as well. So it's been great for me at the least. Just can't wait to get full range of motion back in my right arm. The wait times for the front area have been no longer than 5-10 minutes. If your insurance covers it I don't see any reason to not go here. I don't know about the other doctors, but if for some reason I need an orthopedic service again (hopefully not) Kaplan is my go to guy. Despite the reviews below my experience was exceptional. It just sucks that healthcare cost so much money even with insurance! One other note Dr. Kaplan took it upon himself to address a small issue with his staff about using their phones while I was there after finding my review online a few weeks ago. He assured me that the issue was addressed with his staff and got it sorted out. Was a slight issue that I didn't intend to make a big deal about, but he took it very seriously. So major props to him again.

They have some awesome exhibits here. Recently went and saw the New York Times exhibit and it's great. They also feature local artists too. If you've never been try and get out there some time. They change the exhibits up pretty often. I think it's something like every 3 months maybe? They have what's called Project Atrium that's a big space with 40ft. walls right as you enter. It's an open space for emerging artists to get a chance to plaster with their artwork all over and showcase in a big open area. I believe it's 3 floors of exhibits, and on the first floor they have a little eatery and bar. The eatery is pretty expensive; the name escapes me right now though. I'll come in here every few months to get some inspiration and see what other artists are producing. Great date night activity as well.

I ate here for a company event the other night and don't plan on coming back. OK - this is a place for fish lovers obviously. I had no choice in where we ate at, and I do not like fish. If I liked fish then maybe this place would be good to me; I don't know. They have 1 or 2 dishes with chicken, 2 steaks, and one hamburger; the rest is fish. I opted for the USDA prime rib 10oz steak, with loaded baked potato, and asparagus. Was not impressed at all, and frankly very disappointed. I don't like asparagus either so I passed those to a coworker who enjoyed them. The baked potato was cooked fine, however the way it was dressed with toppings was so odd. I've never seen a baked potato topped with a slice of american yellow cheese melted over the top of it. It did not make the potato taste good, and after a few bites I was not interested. The steak was probably the worst part of it all. I could have made that at home a lot better, and I'm not skilled in cooking. Probably half of us ordered steaks, and every one was not cooked to our specifications. One of us sent the steak back and they returned with one that still wasn't cooked right. Oh well.. I typically get mine medium-well. I don't remember seeing any pink at all. It looked more well done to me. The steak tasted like I was eating a bottle of sea salt. There was so much sea salt all over the steak I couldn't even taste the steak. For 23 bucks (granted I wasn't covering the bill; thank god) that steak should of been damn good! Final thoughts: Stick to the liquor and drinks if you can afford them, but maybe fish is your thing. Then good luck because you may enjoy the food more than I did. EDIT* I'd also like to point out someone (probably the owner) is flagging my review for no reason other then he/she doesn't like it. Because of that I've dropped all the way down. I'll be sure to keep my review on yelp updated as well.

Don't bother coming in here. Huge place and I'm not sure how they stay afloat; they have to be losing money. The food isn't good; way below average. The service takes forever with an easy 45 minute wait time for food. Which wouldn't be a problem if the food was worth waiting for. The service from the employees is pretty bad too. We had to get up and go find our waitress to pay our bill. It's really unfortunate this place has such a big area on the landing. This could easily be a prime location for another business with some personality and good food to shine, and make the landing worth visiting. Someone needs to come in, clean house, and do something with this spot.

Loud and obnoxious. I hate the front part of this bar. Do yourself a favor; get in and go straight to the back in their enclosed outdoor/patio area. Much better music and you can actually hear yourself think and talk to other people. Not to mention the service is much better out there despite only having a few select canned beers in the back area. The bartenders at this bar in the front part are worthless and rude as ef. The back patio area is the only place I'll hang out at if my friends drag me to this place.

Really love this little dive bar/cocktail lounge. It's in downtown and is kind of hidden; right across from the FL theatre. Service can be slow at times, but they make great drinks. If you can get service that is decent then it will be a fun place to be, but the bartenders while great at making drinks are a bit slow to respond. Drinks are priced alright as well. Pretty clean on the inside and the decor is pretty rad as well.
