I'm trying to find some good ways to store my bikes in the garage. Any suggestions on best ways or best space saving ways? If you have pictures you can share that would be even better.

There are several wall mount brackets on the market.

Hooks work, too.

Hey Everyone. I am planning a trip to Moab this weekend, and am wondering if anyone knows what the trail conditions are?

Drivetrain  -

Hey Everyone. I'm looking to convert the drivetrain on my bikes. I have a Cannondale Jekyll that currently is running a 3x10 and a Cannodale Scalpel that is running a 2x10. I'm not sure what I should use for gears to get the best performance from both. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you're not sure what you want, why do you want to convert anything?

I need some advice for tires on my XC bike. The bike came with Racing Ralphs. I like the tires well enough, but have nothing to compare them against as they are the only tire I've known on that bike. Any recommendations for a new tire or should I just get some new Racing Ralphs?

Ryan, I do alot of XC racing. I have the Ralphs on two bikes. Use it for a rear on another rig with Rocket Ron on the front. Great tires running them tubeless, they give up alittle in wet and muddy conditions not what they design for. I would recommend snake skin version not the lite skin thin sidewalls. I have use Geax AKA and Maxxis Ikon. I would said the Ralphs and Ikon were my favorite. The Schwalbe Thunder Burt is a very fast rear tire i would not use this as a front tire. Hope this helped.

I was just going through my bike for my ride tomorrow and there is something wrong with my lefty. It has no damping. I can bottom it out with very little force. I checked the pressure and its got 124 lbs. I pumped it up to 150 lbs, but same thing. If I push it down a few times I get some damping at the bottom of the stroke. Has anyone ever seen some this or have some suggestions? I rode on Thursday and had no trouble with it.

General Discussion  -

I was just curious what everyone's ideal amount of travel is? I'm running 150 mm on one bike and 100 mm on the others. I love the feel of my 150, but it seems to be a little over kill for most of the riding I do.

160 on the front of my full sus, with 150 on the back. 120 on the front of my trail handrail. Works for me!

Questions/Advice  -

I'm getting ready to do my first mountain bike race. It's a 22 mile race. I was wondering about a few things. Should I just use a regular water bottle and stop at aid stations for a refill or use my hydration pack?

Also, any other tips would be appreciated.

The 30/40 combo gives me close to the same ratio as a 24/36. As +Rivers Mitchell says, 30/42 is good if you are worried about the long climbs! That would be almost the same ratio as 24/36.

Thanks for guys for the input. I ended up taking it to my LBS where I purchased it from. Turns out there was a broken spring in there. Had it rebuilt underway factory warranty, and it's as good as new.

I was wondering if anyone could help me understand gearing a little better. I have a 2x10 on my XC bike and I love it. I have a 3x10 on my AM bike and have no complaints. I have thought about changing my AM bike to a 2x10, but I'm not really sure of what the benefits would be. I have noticed that on my AM bike I spend most of my time in my middle ring, but every now and then I do like being able to drop down. Any knowledge shared would be much appreciated.

There are a couple of things to consider; if you drop from 3 ring to 2 ring in the front you may want to consider changing the number of teeth on the 2 rings to give you a similar range that you'll be sacrificing by dropping a ring. Also, consider that sideways tension on the chain will be increased when using the outer most gears on the back end, which could shorten the lifespan of your expensive drive train components - the rear cassette. Bikes that sell stock as 2x10 have a different chain line than a 3x10, if you haunt MTB forums you'll find out what I mean. I was looking into changing my Tanuki ' s 3x10 to a 2x10 setup, but it wasn't as simple as just taking a front ring off.

If you don't use the big ring often and find that to change it won't cost a fortune, then go for it. And, you can install a bash ring!

I need some advice from GoPro users. I just got my first GoPro and I was shopping for an SD card. I was thinking of getting a 64GB card. Is that enough space or should I get the 128GB card?

I've been able to record about 56GB at 1080p and 30 frames per second (3.5 hours) with a Backpack Battery Pack on my Hero 3+, so a 64GB card should be fine...unless you keep your GoPro connected to external power while recording.
