If anybody wanted a custom X-Wing game mat I'd take the first 3-4 requests in order to fund some X-Wing purchases I'd like to make. I was thinking between $30-60 per mat depending the size and complexity of the request. I'd work out shipping as-needed (if you are local to MN we can meet up).

I'm not really interested in making this a side business. My first mat was really fun to paint, but anything over 4 and it will start to feel like work rather than art.

The mat in the photos was 3ft x 5.5ft and will easily facilitate two games of X-Wing at the same time. I can replicate just about anything you'd find on a Google image search or mix and match.

I just finished my 3x6 ft play mat for the X-Wing miniature game. Total cost?

$5.48

Picked up an outdoor vehicle upholstery remnant on super clearance from the fabric store. Put the grippy vinyl side down to keep the mat from slipping on a smooth surface and the fabric side up. Went to the NASA website and went to town with my airbrush.

Total time investment?

1 evening

Making a new unit of wraiths and going out of my way to make them unique from the other 6 in my army. I love that they phase through solid objects so I took that into account with the modeling for these 3.

Hey G+ community. Full disclosure, I know the game developer, former coworker and a very talented game developer. This is his first Indy title and i badly want to see him succeed.

Throw $10 at his Kickstarter for a really fun map based strategy game of shapeshifting Druids. Download the demo for free from the KS page.

Time's running out! Help this Kickstarter meet its goal, every little bit helps!

I made a play mat for myself since I love to airbrush and figured I could make something that both holds up really nice but was functionally a better game mat than those commercially available.

Here are the two mats I've made already. I immediately had somebody ask me if I would make them one which prompted a supply run.

I'm not going into the game mat business, but this seems a fun way to make some art and pay for some new Xwing models ;)

I have enough materials for 2 more mats. 3x3 or 4x5 are the two size options I can get from what I have. Going price right now is between $30-$40 for a 3x3. Direct message me if your interested.

Figured I'd share my latest arts and crafts project. Cheap way to get a play mat of a higher quality than the typical retail mat.

Played a great game of Zombicide this week. We played a Prison Outbreak scenario for 6+ survivors with only 3 survivors and just barely squeaked out a win.

This was after playing a very short introductory game of Myth with 3 brand new players. I'm going to say it... Teaching new players Myth is a lot like teaching D&D to new players. Everything grids down to a halt, lots of questions, but with non-linear turn sequences. The group action point system is what I feel really makes Myth unique. But it goes against every trained gaming reflex we've grown up with. Not having a clockwise turn sequence is unfamiliar territory.

I look forward to playing a game that has everybody at the table familiar with the rules and the turn sequence. I love D&D and really look forward to playing a game of Myth in which I'm not the sole gatekeeper of game knowledge.

This is some updated gameplay and animation for Druids Duel. A game I want to see backed on Kickstarter.

The past month of very hard work finally in action. Unit animations, new Highsommar Season artwork, fancy mouse cursor, you name it. This is what you're backing on Kickstarter

Just putting another 3 Wraiths together to round out my Necron army. Having fun with some dynamic custom poses. The third wraith that is still WIP is phasing out of some rubble and will have a cool shimmering glow effect once painted.
