The Pareto Principle says that in most situations roughly 80% of effects come from only 20% of the causes. We can use the Pareto Principle to better manage our time and focus on the things on our task...

Great cover.
Canada’s young dreamweavers Memoryhouse are first-rate cover-lovers, and slowly they are working their way backwards through the ‘Gum Real Book: when I first saw them, they took on Grizzly Bear’s Veckatimest heart-tugger “Foreground.” Very recent cover! Next up came My Bloody Valentine — less recent, but just as on-the-nose, indie band cover wise. And true to form, they just went deeper still, with their least-recent cover yet: the Zombies’ New Y...

I brought our car in to Planet Hyundai and received some of the worst service at a dealership I have ever experienced. When I mentioned to the tech who said nothing to me as I pulled up that our car was having trouble starting and to probably leave it running, he sat down and immediately turned the car off, then grinded the starter as he tried to turn it over. Before I could even make it to the door, a salesman kept pushing that I needed a windshield repair (not a scratch on them) and that it wouldn't cost me anything, all that I would have to do would be to file an insurance claim through Planet Hyundai, and they would take care of it. No consideration given to my insurance rates, but they would make a dollar I'm sure. Things went from bad to worse once actually "there". I paid for a diagnostic that they would only verbally share with me as the teller kept all of the paperwork, saying that it wasn't their policy to give diagnostics to customers. An outside door handle that was loose that I asked if they could look at was basically pulled off by the time I got it back. They laughed when I asked about getting a sunroof repaired. The service center was about as unhelpful as they could possibly be within "America's Best Warranty" too. The biggest mistake I made was emailing Paul Pelletier, General Manager of Planet Hyundai. I composed a detailed email reviewing my experience and backing up my claims with photos of receipts, damage done to the car, and a receipt that was found inside the car from Jack in the Box timestamped from when the car was in for repairs. I said that I was dissatisfied and considering writing a letter to the Better Business Bureau, he claimed he would look into but repeatedly asked me "But how many times have you actually been here?" as if one bad experience, or first impressions didn't matter or were worth bringing to his attention. After I replied that it was the sum of all of these in my first visit that at least warranted his attention, he accused me of lying and said he didn't want my business. You got your wish, Paul.
