May be hard to believe but I think less is better I am working on it.
I am a serial entrepreneur with all the scars to prove it. Starting before college I lived in Chile Santiago for 25 months and learned Spanish and help people renew their hope in this beautiful life. I started a cell phone business in 2001 dropping me out of college. That first company grew and grew (I think we had perfect blind luck) Me and my business partners sold more cell phones west of of the mississippi than any other company period "stated with bit a pride". We had the first salesperson on the planet to sell a mobile phone in a Wal-Mart. They didn't think at the time it was something that justified the floor space.
After Mobile I moved on to aggregating bank
price feeds with a proprietary retail foreign exchange software. I get calls still today asking for consulting, but I couldn't give it away
then. It was best of breed and very ahead of it's time, but still a flop. I built this with a large investment and team in the USA and India. Bank API's (technology) were just starting to allow for High Frequency Trading. I learned you could trade with these price feeds at a "best bid / best ask" and do it well.. even better than many multi-billion dollar companies could, but again I couldn't convince the anyone I had created a real short term "money press". We gave it many names over it's lifespan with a high level of quality nevertheless it never saw the light of day. It was awesome!
Today I am retired JK with a wife and 3 kids and My wife also an Entrepreneur has a cosmetic company selling nail polish and glitter. These a long with a few other shinny objects have occupied the majority of my first 15 years in business. A SEO company was built by accident way back in 1999 with my 1st cellular gizmos site (a hobby to keep the other companies advertising budget in check).
All these companies have one thing in common I hate them as soon as they are built and I am asked to do sales. I have less desire for follow up than ideas and building. Over the last 6 months I have become fascinated with social media after my stint with SEO I am convinced it's the future human communication medium. I find it comparable to the cellphone revolution we all witnessed between 1999-2014. I may have met my match with social but I am real inspired by it's potential power and efficiency.
With the ability, ambition, and drive to succeed in all aspects of my business dealings including this social one I have no doubt the next chapter will be the very best. I bring experience in moving companies forward by establishing action plans that work. I am a systems thinker. I also bring a chip on my shoulder that is not right for everyone. To become better is all I think about often.
I am a family man and have learned that no success in life will excuse failure in my home. Family leads to the most important, challenging, and rewarding aspect of my life. I have the best friends on the planet. I have meet people who care about me and are wonderful confidants, consultants, and powerful people. I was born with a talent to relate to young people (except with my son I am learning). I have and will continue to be an active participant in my church and have been involved all my life with helping and supporting The Boy Scouts of America.
