Really good resource for business owners and entrepreneurs.
When you're starting something brand new there's a ton of legal implications that often go ignored because, well, we can't afford to pay the ridiculous legal fee to get basic questions answered!
This attorney put together the 17 most asked questions he got as short video responses.
Enjoy!

I recently gave a talk about how I've taken my Twitter account from 60 to 2,600 followers in just a few months.
More important than the followers though is the number of powerful connections and clients I've landed.
I put these tips together in a SlideShare and video - they're both embed in the link below.
If you're interested in how to use Twitter to your advantage, I strongly suggest you check it out!

I want to go out on a limb here and make a controversial argument that "anchor text ratios" are complete and utter bull$hit and SEOs spend way too much precious time worrying about them.
My thoughts are laid out below via a Medium post - I LOVE debate, so please, come at me hard!
Happy Monday :)

I was working a proposal for paid search the other day and was looking for a good template to justify ROI for our services (i.e. Projected Sales - Cost of Traffic + Cost of Services / Cost of Traffic + Cost of Services).
I couldn't find anything, presumably because most agencies keep everything close to chest.
Well, I'm not like that, so here's my Thanksgiving gift to you.
A 100% FREE (no opt in needed) Excel model that calculates the net profits and ROI of a paid search campaign.
I did the legwork setting it up, creating the VLOOKUP functions and making it look pretty.
All you have to do is enter in a few simple pieces of information and you've got a pretty damn good ROI model to either pitch clients or project internal campaigns.
It's not perfect, but for free.99, it's pretty fucking good. Enjoy!

I've had a tremendously tough time finding content writers who can write GREAT stuff.
I'm not talking about GOOD stuff, I mean "damn that was good" stuff.
When you're working with clients that are paying you for content, it's a must.
Here's my #1 tip on how to find and hire a world class writer for your content marketing.

What's the REAL relationship with UX (user experience) and search engine rankings? Is there a relationship at all?!
In short, YES! There's a huge relationship between a user's experience on your website and your search engine rankings.
Google is turning to a number of engagement based signals to help determine the quality of their results.
In my opinion, user experience optimization (or searcher optimization) is taking the place of keyword optimization in a lot of cases.
