I tried to install this today with no luck.

http://www.amazon.com/GoControl-Linear-GD00Z-4-Z-Wave-Controller/dp/B00M75TEIU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454807466&sr=8-1&keywords=linear+zwave+garage+door+opener

After pairing it with my Aeon Labs Z Wave Usb Stick. My habmin did not find it.

Has anyone managed to make this work with Openhab? If so can you please point me in the right direction?

Thank you.

Ruy

Can someone take a look at this and let me know if you see something wrong. I can't make it work.

I am hoping someone can help me get this to work. https://github.com/openhab/openhab/wiki/Samples-Tricks#how-to-add-current-or-forecast-weather-icons-to-your-sitemap

Downloaded the icons from here:
http://www.wunderground.com/weather/api/d/docs?d=resources/icon-sets

Placed them on my image folder and then I replaced them with other icons leaving the same name.png.

I then added this to the transform folder:

wunderground_icon_forecast.xsl
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="2.0">
<xsl:output indent="yes" method="xml" encoding="UTF-8" omit-xml-declaration="yes" />
<xsl:template match="/">
<!-- format: hh:mm:ss -->
<xsl:value-of select="//response/forecast/txt_forecast/forecastdays/forecastday/icon/text()" />
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

I added this string to my items

String w "Today [%s]" <w> { http="<[http://api.wunderground.com/api/key/forecast/q/Dunwoody/Dunwoody.xml:3600000:XSLT(wunderground_icon_forecast.xsl)]"}

Added this to my sitemap

}
Frame {
Text item=w
}
}

Thank you

I need help!  -

Looking for some help! I have been trying to get this to work and cannot figure out a way. Any help will be much appreciated. I found out over the weekend that my TV can be controlled via IP (HTTP Rest Commands

http://www.openremote.org/display/forums/Sony+TV+HTTP+control

But the problem is that I cannot make it work. I have tried and failed. I get the error Action not authorized. I was trying this first from chrome using the a rest client. I want to use this rest commands in tasker using HTTP post.

Today +João Dias told me in a conversation that AutoTools could work for this. I know there are a lot of different unofficial APIs for Bravia in Github but I have no idea how I would accomplish this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

PD: I also tried this on the rest client {"id":20,"method":"getRemoteControllerInfo","version":"1.0","params":[]} when I sent this to the server I get a response with all the different json commands. I have no idea how to trigger them.

Not sure if I need to authenticate my device first or what.
I'm a bit of a newbie with OR and have just figured out how to send HTTP commands to my Sony TV. I didn't see anything yet in the forums so I thought I would post it here as a reference for anyone else ...

Method: post
Host: http://192.168.1.2/sony/IRCC
Enable custom body checked.
In custom body paste this:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
<s:Body>
<u:X_SendIRCC xmlns:u="urn:schemas-sony-com:service:IRCC:1"> <IRCCCode>AAAAAQAAAAEAAAAVAw==</IRCCCode>
</u:X_SendIRCC>
</s:Body>
</s:Envelope>
Change the IR code with whatever you want.
In the Header section click add more and write:
Name: Cookie
Value: auth=yourcookie
Add another header with name: soapaction value: "urn:schemas-sony-com:service:IRCC:1#X_SendIRCC".
Let me know if it's work or if you find a better solution.

+Todoist's Material re-design makes task management look better than ever

+Android Central: "It's almost ready and it's absolutely stunning. Todoist for Android is getting pretty. Really pretty."

#productivity   #todoist   #android   #materialdesign
Popular task management service, Todoist, has been teasing a massive re-design of its Android app for a while now. Finally it's almost ready, and it's absolutely stunning. Before it pushes out to the masses through the Google Play Store, the new version is going through a beta testing phase that anyone can apply to take part in (links for that at the bottom of this post.) I need help!  -

Ok I have finally gotten somewhere with this on PC. Trying now to create and API to share with other users of the forum.

I got this code to work via Advanced Rest Api Client on chrome.

Sent it to
http://192.168.1.138/sony/accessControl

 POST

{"method":"actRegister","params":[{"clientid":"Vaio2:87557368-21ae-44ac-ab9b-15160cdb1b8c","nickname":"Vaio2 (TVMASTER)","level":"private"},[{"value":"yes","function":"WOL"}]],"id":8,"version":"1.0"}

Created the fields

Vaio2:(used unique id generator to generate and copy this code)

and

Vaio2 (TVMASTER)

This will start the authorization process and display the pin on the bravia tv.

Now I am trying to create the API to send it via tasker. I will do this step by step

first get the pin to display on tv.

I got this from the always helpful +João Dias to create the API

create a new API in AutoTools,
set this as your base URL http://192.168.1.138/sony/

add an action with the id authorize, path accessControl and request type POST
in that action add an input of type body with the default value of:

{"method":"actRegister","params":[{"clientid":"
=:==:=
text
clientid
Client Id
Your Client ID
=:==:=
","nickname":"
=:==:=
text
nickname
Nickname
Your nickname
=:==:=
","level":"private"},[{"value":"yes","function":"WOL"}]],"id":8,"version":"1.0"}

When I use this as a tasker action it gives me 2 fields. I am typing on the fields the following.

Client Id Vaio2:87557368-21ae-44ac-ab9b-15160cdb1b8c

Nickname Vaio2 (TVMASTER)

When I run this it should display the in on the tv.

It is not doing that.

Any ideas ??

Home Automation Questions  -

Looking for a software or idea to accomplish the following. I am building my home automation solution with different pieces of software mainly on my tablet and dedicated PC.

I have been trying to see how to accomplish the following.

I want to be able to set my IP cameras to detect motion only when my alarm system is armed.

My alarm system can send emails when different events happen. I can intercept them and send them to Eventghost or react to them with Tasker plugins. Now I need to find a software that will allow me to enable motion detection on my Dlink cameras via and email or an Eventghost plugin.

Not sure if there something like this out there. Any ideas??

Have a look at Ispy. I have it installed on my PC to monitor 6 camera feeds. They can all be turned on or off independently. There is an Android app to monitor and control remotely and I also send HTTP commands from my vera lite and eventghost. I use Tasker, autovera and autoremote to communicate between various android devices and eventghost.
It's taken a while to get everything working, but with a bit of patience it's worth it.

Hi Everyone,

I am needing some direction. I am new to OpenHab and I am in need of direction and help. I am above the average person when it comes to tech but I am not really a coder. Having said this let me post my first question.

I have an Envisalink Eyez-on-Evl3 connected to an Ademco Vista.

*Is there a way to connect to it with Openhab.

*Any binding out there?

*Can the DSC binding work somehow??

 Any help will me much appreciated.
