Hard to believe it's been a year since the release of my book Full-Body Fitness for Runners. Back on January 2nd, RunnerDude's Fitness had the 2015 Great Weigh-In. Almost 40 individuals (male and female of all ages and body types) participated in this free offer. Body compostion measures such as weight, body fat %, girth measurements, physique rating, BMR (basil metabolic rate), MET age, bone mass, water %, visceral fat rating, BMI, Waist/Hip ratio, blood pressure and heart rate were taken. It provides great baseline data on each participants current fitness so as they make progress through the years striving for their individual fitness goals, they'll have a benchmark for comparison. We'll follow up in 6 months with a recheck to see how they're progressking. Here's my 2015 Great Weigh-In Data Card. Not too shabby. Each card also included 2 pages of information providing more information on each measure taken.

So excited about a new group I've started at Volvo called "Running for Weight Loss."
Over 14 weeks, this group of 14 will learn and practice good form running as they build to running 30-mins straight with no walking. They'll also be keeping nutrition logs as they learn more about caloric needs, healthy eating, moderation, and accountability. Becoming more aware of what we need, how much we need, and when we need it is a big part of the battle. No fad diets, just the beginning of a lifestyle change. Yesterday we started with a weigh-in, body composition measures, and a "before" picture. Great data that they'll be able to use to measure their progress by as the program progresses. They'll have three weekly group runs with me as well as some homework runs and exercises. So pumped for them as they start their fitness and running journey.
