I'm interested in knowing your opinion on a viable alternative. Obesity is an epidemic that is projected to afflict 3/4 of the population in the US but is it the government's responsibility to make sure we don't overindulge at the Cheesecake factory? How can we manage that responsibility without having the government overstep its authority? (And thanks for your work, this is a great channel!)

I love that you did this (and I don't even smoke weed). I don't think there can be a greater sign of the ridiculousness of the society we live in when people start having a moral dilemma about drug abuse in a show called 'My Drunk Kitchen.' Obvs, comedy does it best when it comes to showing people's steadfast grip on their own politics, no matter how misinformed or illogical their stances are. I wonder what their position is going to be once the federal government legalizes marijuana, because they will! (Just like same sex marriage!) Will it be okay then? rolls eyes Mad love and mad props to you.

I suppose that if you're getting bottomless mimosas for brunch, small little details, like the taste of your food, take a backseat to loud house music, EDM, and not being seated because your party is missing one person. "I was waiting in line at the Rokburger, hoping they would let me in." What is this, South Beach? This place screams Miami. Luckily we didn't have to pay cover. The Chicken and Waffles I ordered were severely underwhelming. Even the candied bacon topping them was 'meh.' I don't expect a life changing experience out of a place focusing on trendiness and turnover but for $15 I need at least Publix level fried chicken on my tiny waffles. To their credit, they made it look real pretty. A while back, I had a decent burger there and it looked delicious. And that it looked delicious is all I remember about it. It seems that at Rokburger they excel at making things look good but don't ever go far beyond that. I believe the word is superficial. There's never anything standout about the taste of their food. Don't get me wrong, once you get past the door, their service is solid but I will always think of them as the place that made me put the words bacon and meh in the same sentence.

You can never go wrong with a maracuya sour to set things off at CVI.CHE, one of my favorite Peruvian spots in Miami. The ceviche is always on point and the food is generally delicious (although that goes for Peruvian food in general). What makes Ceviche 105 stand out is it's service and the fact that the food tends to be slightly more delicious than other restaurants serving delicious Peruvian food. It can get a tad pricey once it's all said and done but it's worth it. If you don't have a Peruvian guide to point you in the right direction, just ask the servers, they do a great job themselves.

The price for their cortadito might seem a bit steep (& if this were anywhere else but Miami, that would be a non-issue), but this ain't your average cafetería. Just off Ponce De León, Cafe Curuba has the right atmosphere, it's neither hot nor freezing, not too small, nor crowded but a place where you can keep your conversations rather conversational. The place is cozy and just right. The Clever Brew is worth every penny. (Just don't pollute it with any sugar or cream.) If you haven't yet, I think it might be the right type of coffee with which to go black and never go back. The Colombian ground was delicious and perfectly complemented by the pandebono con guayaba. My only regret is that I had no one there with whom to share it. That said, I got all my work done.
