Storm Hits New South Wales, Australia (labeled) | NASA Aqua
Strong wind and heavy rain battered Sydney and other areas of Australia’s New South Wales from ApriAl 20-22, 2015. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite acquired this image of the storm on April 21.

A news report in The Guardian cited David Elliott, the New South Wales emergency services minister, who called the storm a “once-in-a-decade” event. The story noted that some areas saw winds that reached 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour and rainfall amounts of about 300 millimeters (12 inches) within 24 hours. As a result of the storms and flooding, 12 areas were declared natural disaster zones.

Melotte 15.

Cosmic clouds seem to form fantastic shapes in the central regions of emission Nebula IC 1805. Of course, the clouds are sculpted by stellar winds and radiation from massive hot stars in the nebula's newborn star cluster, Melotte 15.

As bright as a hundred million Suns: the clusters of monster stars that lit up the early universe.

The first stars in the Universe were born several hundred million years after the Big Bang, ending a period known as the cosmological 'dark ages' -- when atoms of hydrogen and helium had formed, but nothing shone in visible light. Now researchers have calculated what these objects were like: they find that the first stars could have clustered together in phenomenally bright groups, with periods when they were as luminous as 100 million Suns: http://buff.ly/1EsTrNo

Original Work "The Stars, Like Dust"
(curious to know if anyone remembers where that title came from).

Out of all the shots I took under the night sky on 17/04/2015, I sort of like this one the best, mostly due to it being a more subtle beauty rather than eye-catching.  Most shots are taken towards the centre of the galaxy where its is brightest and more vibrant, but this one is take looking towards the outer edge and to the vastness beyond.

Taken from near Cervantes, Western Australia, the waves of sand make an interesting foreground image under the night sky.  The Orion constellation is slowly falling towards the hozion with the barest hint of the Orion nebula visible if you zoom up a bit on it.  The milky way look away from the centre is far less bright, but never the less shows up faintly, just like the title says...like dust.

The image is a composite of two shots, the first at ISO3200 for 60sec at f2.8 for the sky, and the second at ISO3200 for 30sec at f2.8 for the foreground.

Enjoy, Will.

For those interested in the image detail, read as follows:

DATE / TIME: 2015-04-17
LOCATION: Dunes near Cervantes, Western Australia
SCOPE: Samyang 14mm F2.8
OPTICAL ATTACHMENTS: None
MOUNT: tracking mount head on standard tripod
CAMERA: EOS6D unmodded
EXPOSURE: ISO3200 @ 30sec (foreground), and 1 x ISO3200 @ 60sec (sky / background)
PROCESSING: Exposures combined and processed in Photoshop

That's so cool!

We’ve all been there — you’ve searched under your car seat, tossed around the sofa cushions and you still can’t find your phone. If you know where your computer is, you can now ask Google to find your Android phone from your desktop. If the pesky phone is hiding nearby, Google can ring it for you — or you can see it on the map if you, say, forgot it at the bar. Just make sure you’ve got the latest version of the Google app installed on your device!

Friendly staff and the chicken there is great, no skimpy pieces you'll normally get you get a decent big piece for a great price! Not sure about the breakfast but I've heard its pretty decent & indoor seating has a calm relaxed atmosphere.

Had a great meal, the food has flavour & has a kick which is not overpowering. Offering indoor & outdoor seating located in the center of Birmingham with very friendly staff, I will most definitely revisit!

Amazing place, like pizza taste good, the chicken is tasty as hell like, I can't think of any complaints. Even the delivery time was good, personally I think the times would effect it but I've never had any problems with long waiting. Besides, it tastes good! :D
