Thought I'd share my video of Manta Rays at Lady Elliot Island, Qld Australia from just last weekend.

All shot on a Sony RX100ii with wide angle lens and natural light. No custom white balance in the camera for video makes it a challenge in terms of colour, but I did what I could in Premiere CC.

Would welcome any feedback

The Severance Wreck at Lady Elliot Island, Qld, Australia

Post has shared content
The Severance Wreck sits in about 20m of water a few hundred metres off Lady Elliot Island. The ship sank in 1998 and is the subject of urban legend.

It is told that during a couple's bitter divorce, the wife only wanted one thing in the separation - the yacht. So the weekend before handing it over, the husband sailed the boat to Lady Elliot Island, took out the bungs and took a tender in to shore. He sat there and drank a bottle of rum, watching it sink to the bottom.

He then apparently appeared at the lawyer's office with the keys for the yacht and gave them the coordinates of where to find it.
Whether you believe the story or not, one thing for certain is that it's a sight to behold if the conditions are right. I was able to capture this shot on my safety stop 15m above the wreck. Having this perspective makes you wonder what other stories lie beneath the surface.
