This Saturday was our first "Journey with Jen"! We took a drive through the country, headed for brunch at South Store Cafe. The service was amazing and the weather couldn't have been better. Shirley says, "This is the most fun I've had in years!" Mary commented, "So cool to see where I used to live and how pretty it is out here still!"

Please join us in congratulating Jen! She started as a Caregiver and was recently promoted to Activities Assistant. Jen says she just loves going from physically caring for residents to celebrating life with them!

In this recent winter wonderland, take advice from Mary, "If you don't have to go out, just say put." She knows from her 20+ years driving a charter bus in the snow. She safely delivered many groups up Mt. Hood's icy roads!

Congratulations to Nadine Vice! She has earned the Rosewood Park 2016 L.I.F.E Award! She exhibits Leadership, Initiative, Focus and Exceeds Expectations every day in the dining room serving our residents. She found a few minutes of fun with co-workers in last week's snow.

One of the benefits of living in a neighborhood near a high school is having kids stop by to finish building your snow man. Activities director, Christina, and resident, Betty, got it started and Century High students finished it. Thank you guys!

John and Harriet were all smiles because they had 30-40 of their relatives joining them at Rosewood Park for a post-holiday party catered by our restaurant. All of our meeting rooms are available for residents to use for family gatherings, support groups, etc.

This week we had a wine tasting led by our resident, Lynn. She owned a wine tasting business before retiring. All the wines were from northwest vineyards. We enjoyed wines from Columbia Crest, Chateau Ste Michelle, Rascal, and Red Diamond. We are always learning new things in our Lifelong Learning Series, which are open to the public. Join us next time to learn something new!
