First off it was my very first time visiting Rose's, which came at high recommendation. Right when we pulled up and were greeted by valet the experience was pleasant. It was my spouse's birthday so I had some things in my trunk that I needed to go out for after being seated. It was Friday night, so busy, but the hostess was welcoming....we went over to the bar and waited with a drink. The bartenders and staff members were friendly, a waitress even over heard it was our first time in and said "WELCOME". We wanted a spot directly in front of the fireplace so it was a while before we got our table but once there we had a really great waiter, Shawn. He prompted us about ordering, how the food was, if we needed anything at all the exact times. He even offered to take our photo without us asking. Very good atmosphere, not too loud, not too quiet, everyone was friendly...even the waitress walking by the table was enthusiastic about the balloons and presents brought in by us. Definitley going back! The food was great, we ordered the Turkey burger and crab cake. My spouse got a free desert for the occasion (birthday) and the waiter allowed me to put my candle in and light it up. Very happy customer, excellent first impression!!!

Amber, thanks for stopping and celebrating your spouse's birthday with us. Always great to hear that our staff ws welcoming and friendly and that Shawn was there to help and offer suggestions and even offer to take your picture! The table by the fireplace is always a favorite this time of year. Glad that you had the time to wait for it. We have a beautiful place on Reed's Lake and happy to share it with our customers. Our turkey burger and crab cake are always great choices, so is our Cranberry Turkey Sandwich or our Mahi Tacos. Hope to see you both again real soon!

This is a favorite lunch spot. My wife and I love coming in the summer and getting their salads or pizzas. Really good food, decent wine selection, friendly staff, and a relaxing place to enjoy others. Can't ask for more really.

We arrived here on a Thursday early evening around 4 pm. We came here for the 1st time with out of town visitors because my daughter was told it was great. The hostess was beyond rude to us when she seated us so fast we did not have a chance to ask to be seated in an outside seating spot as the covered patio space smelled badly. There was a waitress next to us and we asked her if we could move and she said no problem sit anywhere. The hostess did not just say a few scolding words but badgered us about it. We should have gotten up and left. We watched as she did this at least 3 other times to Customers. Our waitress was the only real pleasant part of it. It was her last day there and she was looking forward to her next adventure in life. The food arrived before we had much time to eat our starter, which was very good. One of us ordered form the specials menu Salmon and risotto. It was not risotto and the fish was so over cooked. The whole dish was very bland to taste. We hardly touched it. The other Salmon dish that was off the main menu was also over cooked but compared to the specials menu salmon was good. The mac and cheese was good as well but as a whole none was worth the money. So if your truly a lover of great food and great service this is not the place. If you looking for plane food and staff that has no clue about customer service but do not mind high prices and a good view then this is just the place for you. For the 3 of us it was a really bad way to start off a visit and came at far to high of a price.

My wife and I went here for our Second Anniversary. She loved the Moscatto. I got a blended red which was delicious. Server was helpful with suggestions. I ordered the Mac and Cheese (very good but I'd go different next time) and my wife ordered the Parmesian Crusted Chicken Breast. Apple Crisp for desert. Ratings 1-5 Food: 4.5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Pricing: Wine/Beer from $5-8. Entrees from $10-20. Deserts $5-7.

Thank you for stopping in and congratulations on your 2nd anniversary. We do have some great drinks in the bar, lots of micro brews and a big wine list to please anyone. Next time you stop in, you should try our Walleye. It is another great menu item or our Mahi Tacos are a great choice too. Hope to see you again soon!

I have been here quite a few times and have some insight about the managers, the chef Todd Darby is probably one of the most erragant person I have ever met, he's rude to his employees and always feels the need to give ten minute speeches when the servers are very apparantly busy thus taking time away from the guests, from what I heard he is not well liked by the staff whasoever, them there is dough douchain. i know a bartemder/server that worked there that Doug held a personal vendetta against. Watched him like a hawk and every little thing he did Doug would make a spectacle of him making it hix mission to get him terminayed, I have seen Doug in action, very loud voice Turpin and treats his employees with little to no respect. He handles situations very unproffesionally, food is great there but management needs a change, I would not Wan to work under the supervision of those two.

I'm not sure what the last reviewer was complaining about, because this place is WONDERFUL. Perfect atmosphere for decent food and a relaxing time! Complete with friendly ducks walking through the patio! I was leary coming because of the review, but I'm so glad I came. The staff was incredibly friendly, though clearly busy so wait was a bit long. No strange smells, the patio is over a lake so if you don't fancy lakeside smells I recommend eating inside. The fried guacamole was AMAZING! Followed it up with the parmesean crusted chicken and it was perfect for a light dinner. Currently waiting for our Michigan bread pudding dessert to arrive, but I'm confident that it will also be delightful! We will certainly come again and recommend!

Excellent service. Had the grilled tuna and I can recommend it. The exterior section is excellent to spend time in the summer.

Our Ahi Tuna is always a great choices! Our deck in the summer is an excellent spot to sit while dining in the summer. But the heated patio is pretty great in the colder and winter months too. There is always something beautiful to catch your eye on Reed's Lake. Happy to be able to share it with our customers.

The fish and chips were very heavy in breading with not a lot of flavor, while the Cole slaw had no flavor at all...it was labor day weekend but even tho the service was slow even for the check while the resturant was empty at 10 at night

I am sorry your experience wasn't up to par. If you would kindly call the restaurant at 616-458-1122, and ask for Bill Koski, General Manager, we'd like for you to give us another try.
