Pretty good Italian place in Chicago. The ambiance and location are great. The food was decent but you get tons of it, so you'll definitely have leftovers. Go here with a group on a special occasion

The happy hour appetizer buffet is a good deal. I used to work in the same building as this place so my coworkers and I would frequently make carry-out orders from them during dinner. The food is reasonably good but it is definitely NOT healthy (lots of olive oil, butter, cheese etc.). The menu is not very extensive. But the seating areas in the open-air lobby are nice. The place gets PACKED during lunch and before theater events.

I just Love the Breaded Tilapia Sandwich from Rosebud Theater District. A sandwich that is good all year around but I tend to order it more in the fall. The breading is light and the Tilapia is very tasty. Rosebud has quickly become my go to lunch spot and for good reason. They make good food!

My Veal parmesan from Rosebud was just perfect last Friday night. I couldn't say better things about the food or service. Rosebud Theater District is also the home for Rosebud Express which is a daily lunch Hot Spot for me and entire office. Love Rosebud and really enjoy the desserts.

Started with Brushetta which was fantastic and based on that I really anticipated my meal. Ordered special for the Friday evening - Petite Steak with Garlic Red Potatos. Never had a better steak in texture and flavor. (Well, maybe in France). But I think that I have tasted the sauce for the steak in a Stouffer's Salsbury Steak. I like to at least taste the garlic in garlic mash potatoes. The bar is not separate from the dining room which I will take note of in the future. On a Friday you are going to get way too much noise from the bar to have any kind of dinner conversation. A redesign should be considered but it was my bad for not seeing that before sitting down. Service was very attentive.

When I first saw and heard of Rosebud I really felt it was going to be overpriced fair that wasn't worth my dime. I am happy to announce that I was wrong. This became one of my favorite spots to eat at for awhile and I still love coming here. The Veal and the Chicken dishes are both spectacular. While I do enjoy this Rosebud I have to say the one on Rush is probably my favorite of their spots that I've tried.

As one of Chicago's Top Foodie's, I prefer to dine at real restaurants that are down to earth and casual. Of course many consider the Rosebud Restaurants Fine Dining. I think all of them are upscale, but yet casual and not stuck up, so that's where the down to earth style of restaurant comes in. When we go to various theater productions we make it a point to dine in the loop at Rosebud Theater District. George is the General Manager and has always made sure we are personally taken care of. The man does know me or my family but treates us like we are his best friends and really makes Rosebud a warm and inviting place to enjoy lunch or dinner. One dish that you have to try is the Norwegian Salmon Vesuvio. The Salmon fillet is pan seared in a garlic white wine sauce and than served with roasted potato wedges and peas. Just talking about it makes me hungry.

My wife and I wanted a table at an authentic Italian restaurant and our concierge got us a table at Rosebud's Theater District. The place was obnoxiously loud with happy hour patrons when we arrived. We ordered calamari and bruschetta as appetizers - the bruschetta, while flavorful, was way too large and the calamari was chewy. We ordered a bottle of Montepulciano d' Abruzzo which was delivered late. I ordered the Eggplant Ritollo and she ordered Veal Parmigiana. Both were smothered in mozzarella and a bland cold marinara which drowned out whatever flavor the entrée may have possessed. Our waiter barely checked on us and did a poor job explaining the menu and specials. I think I would have enjoyed dinner at the Olive Garden more and probably would have spent 1/2 as much.
