New on the blog: As I mentioned yesterday, postcards are ephemera, that is, they are transitory things.  Ephemera. I love that word. From the Greek it means lasting a day. To me it evokes those now you see it now you don’t kind of things like crystal-winged mayflies, toadstools in the lawn after it rains, diamond dewdrops on spiderwebs, and sky-spanning rainbows. Postcards are like that. http://calliopeswritingtablet.com/  Come see!

Stop by the busy Exquisite Quills blog today where we're hosting the Bluestocking Belles Regency Writers' Group. http://exquisitequills.blogspot.com/  They have a boxed set for the holidays titled Mistletoe, Marriage, and Mayhem and ALL proceeds go to the Malala Fund for girls. Girls around the world are denied a formal education because of social, economic, legal and political factors. The Malala Fund's goal is at least twelve free and secure years of quality primary and secondary education for girls without fear of death. Brave Malala, a teenager shot in the head on her way to school, won the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize.

I’m wrapping up my exposé on satire today with Diminution and Inflation. Both shine a light on the absurdity of whatever topic is being examined, it’s all about scope — one enlarges (Inflation) and one reduces (Diminution). Come see! http://calliopeswritingtablet.com/2015/11/03/diminution-inflation-funny-in-all-sizes/
