In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Philippines, U.S. Embassy Manila’s Public Affairs Section supported University of Santo Tomas’ 2015 On-the-Spot Painting Competition and Exhibition with the theme "Memories of Valor, Dreams of Peace: The 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Philippines" on February 7, 2015.

The commemoration marks the 70th year since the end of WWII. Joined by almost a hundred participants from different colleges and universities in Manila, the activity promoted camaraderie among the youth by creating works of art that represent their ideas, passion and commitment on freedom and democracy. The paintings also depicted drawings that honor those who answered the call to defend freedom.

Changing the World through Inclusive Tech Ecosystem and Community Engagement
Introduction

------------------ All posts are my own. ---------------------

Helping to build innovation by creating a more inclusive tech ecosystem.

I've worn many hats and held various roles in start-ups, large consulting firms in government, non-profit and industry.  I am changing the world through contributing to open source projects, continuous technology learning, software/development and tools, and collaborating with great innovative minds.  I openly engage in great technical communities, discussions about gender, sexual preference and racial equality and encourage young people, especially in underrepresented groups and under-served communities, to enter STEM fields.
