This year I've discovered a new passion for Krav Maga.

If you've never heard of Krav Maga, it's a form of self-defense and physical training first developed by the Israeli Army in the 1940's. Krav Maga is based on the use of reflexive responses to threatening situations. It consists of a combination of techniques sourced from boxing, wrestling, Aikido, Judo, Karate and street fighting.

Like most Martial Arts, Krav Maga encourages students to avoid physical confrontation, but when necessary, to respond as quickly and as aggressively as possible. If you're attacked out of nowhere, this aggressive response could mean the difference between your life and death. It's that important!

As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, it occurred to me that self-defense doesn't only apply to physical situations of immediate danger we may find ourselves in over the course of our life. It also greatly applies to our health!
