You are already under constant surveillance, from street cams, and drones, and security cameras. And phones. This is just more readily accessible to the wearer. And I'm sure the production model will have a light on the front, like a color diode, that will indicate recording occurring. And if that's not enough, you could always ask someone not to record you, just as you would when they point a camera at you.
The video record capabilities are just one part of the device, and it'd be a shame if the technology was hindered because people still think they didn't sign over their privacy and rights a decade ago.
