In Denmark, where I come from, the gastronomical highlight of the year is the arrival of the season's new potatoes. In Berlin, where I live now, the gastronomical highlight of the year is the arrival of the seasons's new asparagus. Served with hollandaise sauce I eat it every day for a week. (It is extra good served with a glass of chilled Riesling).

I want to visit Germany in this season to eat spargel ! It's difficult to find fresh one in Japan.
