By utilizing effective measures of internal marketing, employees are provided with a working environment that empowers them to take on the tasks of learning the ins and outs of their respective companies. Internal Employee Marketing: How Your Employees Can Act as the Marketig Arm of Your Business With Strategic Messaging

Running a successful business requires the ability to not only appeal to consumers with high-quality products and services, but also to effectively reach your target demographic with the right marketing strategies. Getting your employees actively engaged with marketing your brand and business is essential for growth and the ability to expand the name of your company regardless of the industry you are working in and representing.

Create a Clear Brand Message

Implementing a clear brand message is essential when having employees work towards marketing your business altogether. With the right message and an understanding of the demographic you are trying to reach it is easier for those who are working with your company to spread the word.

Utilize Social Media

Putting social media to use is also imperative in today's technological society, especially when working with smaller and online business models. Social media is a way to gain hundreds of thousands of followers and potential customers that are available internationally. Promoting new products and sharing news with followers is also a way to promote employee engagement while building the loyalty of the fans who are genuinely interested in your business and the brand you represent.

Build a Newsletter

Creating a newsletter is an effective method of keeping employees informed of your business and its news while also reaching out to new customers and those who are interested in what you have to offer. Whether you are promoting a sale or generating new products and services, newsletters give you the ability to reach those interested in following your brand in their email inbox. Additionally, keeping up with a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly newsletter is a way for you to ensure you are informing all employees of any changes in the business.

Update Blogs Consistently

Requiring employees to update blogs consistently on your official website is another method of keeping everyone involved in your company engaged and informed at all times. Whether you are pushing a new product or making changes to the workplace it is highly advisable to keep all employees regardless of their level educated and well-informed.

The more engaged your employees are when building a business and its marketing strategy, the easier it becomes to reach any audience you have in mind. Whether you are producing content, selling products or offering services having a clear understanding of the benefits of internal marketing is key to success and growth for any business model you currently have in place.

Is it time to call it quits on Google+? The answer (NO) might suprise you

Google plus is certainly not the most intuitive of social media platforms. However, you may want to wait a bit before you give up on the platform as a whole. The reason is simple: Google rules the world, and they can pretty much force you to use Google plus as a viable social media platform, at least for the foreseeable future.

Although Google plus has less overall activity than many of the busier social media websites, the ripple effects of content that is posted there is one of the highest. Because Google plus is connected to YouTube as well as Google searches, the right kind of content that is rippled out can make a big splash on social media and the Google search engine as well.

G+ communities are also gaining traction. As Google begins to learn what makes niche oriented forums and message boards viable, it is slowly but surely implementing this technology into its own community boards. When it does this, you can bet that people will gravitate towards Google communities rather than remaining on the outskirts of the Internet on their niche boards.

Google will also give more authority to content that is posted within a Google plus posting than content that is posted on any other social media platform. Even if you do not experience the effects of that policy today, it is sure to happen at some point in the future; it is just good business on the part of Google.

Because of this, you must include Google plus as a big part of your content marketing strategy. Linking to your Google plus profile from your website and providing unique content for your Google plus profile is a great way to bolster your ranking in the search engine. Because Google will continue to give Google plus profiles high link juice and a high PageRank, you can use some of that favor to trickle down to your website.

Putting your content on your Google plus page will also help to make your content more ubiquitous within search engine results pages. Because of the ripple effect, you can quickly fill up all pages, leaving little to no space for any competitors.

Overall, Google plus may not be the best social media website today. However, because of the reach of its parent company, you cannot count it out at any point in time. Sit back, create content for it, and wait for the tide to turn.

A recent article in Forbes proclaimed, “Bill Gates is about to unveil the most powerful tool in the history of social activism.” Well, if someone were going to be the name in that headline, Gates certainly fits the bill. But what is this “most powerful tool” and how is the billionaire Microsoft founder and philanthropist involved? Ronn Torossian breaks it down.

AMEX Getting Pummeled

According to Bloomberg News, American Express “violated antitrust laws” when the company barred businesses from asking their customers to choose lower cost credit cards. As shares of the credit card company dropped about 1.8 percent, AMEX announced plans to file an appeal.

Perhaps the worse part of this news is that it’s a counter-punch to the initial blow American Express suffered when Costco ended its partnership with AMEX and Bloomberg also reported JetBlue had chosen to end its branded card agreement. This trio of negative news items caused some analysts to opine that everything was moving in the wrong direction for AMEX.

There’s no doubt that the Costco break will hurt the credit card company. According to reports, Costco represented 20% of AMEX’s worldwide loans and 8 percent of its billed business. That’s no small loss, and certainly not an easy hurdle to overcome.

The issue, of course, is not limited to these three difficult circumstances. When a company appears to be floundering, other businesses that may have considered a mutually beneficial relationship will potentially reconsider. Worse, consumers associated with those companies will actively choose competitors’ products for their credit needs. That turns a relatively bad week into an ongoing business and PR problem. People prefer dealing with winners, and businesses are no different.

The public relations cost of a series of humbling blows can be both far-reaching and difficult to overcome. That’s not to say that AMEX is not up to the task. This tremendous company had seen difficult days before and came out better because of the struggle. They will likely do so in this case. But it will not be without concerted corporate PR and consumer PR efforts. Nothing heals bad business deals quite like healthy, new deals, but to make that fresh start, AMEX will need to reach out to a new market and new prospects, both of which are segments happy with their current providers.

How the company manages to stand out will be as much about message as it is about management.

According to new data obtained from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, charity organizations and nonprofit groups are becoming an increasingly vital segment of the American economy. Consider the fact that the nonprofit sector is one of the few that grew during the Recession. In fact, according to Trib Live Media, the nonprofit sector, with an impressive 11.4 million jobs, is the third largest employment sector, when compared to all other industries in the United States. Charities accounted for more than ten percent of all non-government jobs in 2012.

One of the primary dictums of any profession that deals with large numbers of people is to know your audience. It is common for groups in charge of essential social structures to change suddenly and drastically. Although there are important surface differences that may occur in any “changing of the guard,” the structural similarities often overwhelm the disparities. By careful attention to what changes and the nature of what stays the same, it is possible to direct a message to an important audience with great specificity.
