“What do you say about someone who gives your life meaning? What do you say about someone who's always there with support and understanding, someone who makes sacrifices so that your life will be easier and more successful? Well, what you say is that you love that person and treasure her. I simply can't imagine the last 8 years without Nancy.”  - Ronald Reagan, August 1988

35 years ago today, President Reagan welcomed home the freed American hostages from Iran by saying, “You are home, and believe me, you're welcome. If my remarks were a sermon, my text would be lines from the 126th Psalm: ‘We were like those who dreamed. Now our mouth is filled with laughter and our tongue with shouts of joy. The Lord has done great things for us. We are glad.’ You've come home to a people who for 444 days suffered the pain of your imprisonment, prayed for your safety, and most importantly, shared your determination that the spirit of free men and women is not a fit subject for barter.”

An incredibly accurate and professional presentation of the life and presidency of the greatest president of modern history! Best Presidential Library I've ever visited. Don't walk by the movie presentations. You'll learn so much history and historical perspective from them. Everyone should visit this wonderful Presidential Library and museum.

My overall visit to the library was very positive. Most of the staff and volunteers were helpful and friendly. I particularly enjoyed seeing the replica of the oval office and getting to board air force one. The reason for my 4 star review is that on the way out, the shuttle driver, an older gentleman with a beard, who I originally thought was very friendly said, pointing to the flag bearing the resemblance of President Clinton , ""That's the second worst president the U.S. has ever seen. The first one was probably Carter..." Plop....I couldn't believe how unprofessional and unpleasant his comment was. As someone who greatly admires former president Carter, I found his comment disrespectful, inappropriate, and unnecessary. It definitely put a damper until what had been, until then, a very nice experience. I hope the management at the Reagan library read this and support staff members in behaving respectfully while on the job.

Visited whilst on business from UK and must admit it was a great exhibition of his life and the way they lead you on his journey is very touching. The Air Force One plane was great but even his suit that he was shot in was particularly surreal. The views are out of this world, and no wonder he wanted to be laid to rest there. Well done Simi Valley.

The best display of the 25 US Presidents that I've visited. Lots to see. My only complaint is the staff, which do there job great, are a little too uptight. You can't walk into the gift shop without 4 different people asking you if you need help. I don't mind being asked once, but 4 times is a bit much. At Air Force One AND Marine One, I was instructed to pose for a photo, in which I waved as if I was the President. Then, at both locations, I was instructed to keep me hands down for a 'more professional photo'. I came to see the President and pay my respects. I didn't come to the library to be told that I'm not being professional. Maybe the staff needs to lighten up a bit. Usually an uptight staff is a direct result of an uptight supervisor. So, I feel sorry for the staff who might be under the gun of somebody who is too strict, and sucks the moral out of the work environment. It's good to be professional and protective, but you can suck the fun out of an adventure by being overly professional. The staff at the Nixon library were way more relaxed

A very well organized and insightful museum! If you live in the area and haven't gone yet, do it! You get to go inside the Air Force One and see how it looked during Ronald Reagan's presidency. Loved seeing the Oval Office too, it was set up and included furniture from Reagan's time. The museum has a nice flow and the staff are nice and know information other than the library rules.

If you love President Ronald W. Reagan and his love for his Country, you have to visit his Library. It is outstanding and a must see while you are on vacation. I've been a member of the Library for many years. It's always a pleasure to visit the Library any time. After your visit, I'm sure you'll agree with me!

It's a nice library with a great history. The exhibits are great and has a good view of the valley. My favorite is the AirForce One.
