I have a confession to make: despite making my living via the internet, I'm a total sucker for print magazines. Here's my latest blog post: http://ron.ly/Z9TVxD.

It has potential, but the bathrooms are closed all winter which is incredibly frustrating for parents. How on earth are kids supposed to go to the bathroom? It totally ruins the experience.

This isn't a real Starbucks. It's a "licensed" location. Because of this, you can't use Starbucks rewards, their selection is more limited, and they close early. Like, insanely early: 6pm. What? How on earth a coffee shop closes right when I walk in the door confuses the heck out of me. You have to go to the location at 16th + Curtis for the closest "real" location. Frustrating.

I used to have an insurance agent who I had never met, and who never checked in on me and called maybe once or twice in the five years I was insured with him. After I met Mark Olsen, I decided to switch all my policies (auto/homeowners, etc) over to his agency and I'm very glad I did. I talk to him as frequently as I need to, and he invites me to his office for a review at least once a year to make sure I have the right coverage and to see if there are any ways to save money on our policies. His office staff is friendly, helpful, and *very* quick to respond when I call or email with questions. My kids get a birthday card from his office in the mail every year, and we've even been surprised a few times with a gift of flowers on my wife's and my anniversary. I'm a big fan and highly recommend Mark Olsen to all my friends.

Dr. Mark Rocco is an excellent chiropractor. He listens carefully to your needs, then addresses them. He doesn't make you sign any contracts or agree to a long-term, expensive commitment. I have chronic back pain, and a few years ago, I visited another place in town that wanted me to sign up for a three-year plan that was over $4,000 before they would even help me. When I found Springs Family Chiropractic, I was nervous that they would try to do the same thing. They didn't. Instead, they asked me where I hurt, then started working to help relieve the pain (on day one!) I'm very happy with the care I've gotten from Dr. Rocco. Plus, he's really funny, which makes a visit fun.

Krispy Kreme is great, and I'm always happy to have their donuts, but they're much better warm and this place doesn't offer that. Since they can't make them here, they just get shipments of donuts so they're kind of cold and stale.

I frequently get requests from businesses for website design, and when I'm too busy to take on a new client, I try to refer them to another local company that I know will do a good job. 720Media is one of the groups I refer people to. Kevin and Taa do excellent work and I never have to worry because they always take care of the people I send their way. If you're in the market, you can't go wrong when hiring 720Media. They have a very cool workspace in downtown Colorado Springs on Weber street which is a fun, creative space, and they're professional and fun to work with.
