I think it is a stretch to go from anecdotes to the "industrial scale book destruction" the Cracked list describes. I think most weeding happens in a trickle as books fall apart or get superceded by newer editions. I think there are little bursts of wider removal as space reaches a premium, but this story hinges on a sort of worst-case scenario to get any traction. I think by and large weeding occurs with more thought and justification than the acquisition process enjoyed.
One of the best Mexican restaurants in the Canandadigua area. I have had several of their dishes and have no complaints. What's even better is that the chef can turn anything on the menu into a vegetarian dish, this is worth at least two stars all on it's own. I would highly recommend visiting this hidden, side street Paradise. Cheers.
