Thanks +stephanie reif

It seems obvious that the 2 dancers are 2 sides of Sia's inner self, her inner struggle which causes obstacles to loving freely. The words "I have thick skin and an elastic heart" and "why can i not conquer love" tell it. If you have never been heartbroken, you will not understand. To love truly is to be fully open, then heartache has happened, one closes down, then one tries to be open again. It's a cycle. The video starts between rounds. Shia is the part of Sia who is fearful, anxious, shy, wants to please, does not want to be hurt. Maddie is the more outgoing, free spirit, who tries to keep the shyness at bay. Both sides want to come together. But in the end the scared part, Shia, can't get out/can't let go. And the cycle continues. It's a profoundly deep human story of inner struggle..

LAST CALL!
IT IS FREE TO JOIN THE GROUP!
A 7 week commitment, rehearsals on Wednesdays, 6 - 9 pm.
Show at the Feminist Festival of Transformative Arts, on September 13th at Oakland Peace Center.

WOMEN ACTING OUT
Structured Improv Theater Group forming.....

Well, we all have them. Whether is is love, money, career, relationship, health, loneliness, anger, depression - we are all facing small frustrations or big challenges every day. Phone calls to friends, eating at night, addictions, therapy, coaching.....we do it all.

What if we had some fun while we navigate through these personal challenges? Imagine meeting once a week, in a safe/private cozy setting, with a group of women who are like you, mindful and creative. That itself is good - right? And then we vent our thoughts around one thing that keeps bugging us. And maybe we write, do some improv, have dialogues in 2s or 3s - prompted by insightful questions (from a life coach). And we end with a skit - directed by a theater director (who is also the life coach!).

Maybe your problem won't go away in 7 weeks. But you surely will gain some new insights and fresh perspectives and all that while having some serious fun! And making friends!!!! A journey like this - will flock people together for good.

We have done this for 3 years, and it has been really awesome!

Like what you just read? Want to try it out and know more? Come on over tomorrow:

Wednesday 7/23 | 6 - 9 pm | Women Acting Out - Structured Improv Theater
The Feminist Club at Take 5 Cafe
3134 Sacramento Street, South Berkeley.

What do you have to loose? Worse come - you get a chance to complain :) And meet others whose life sucks in some for or fashion! That's inspiring - no?

Please shoot us an email at sirenproject@gmail.com if you are coming. Or text us at 510.681.9740. It's that simple. And yes - it's FREE!

Future Rehearsal Dates: Wednesdays: July 30 + Aug 6, 13, 20, 27 + Sep 3, 10 (and if needed - 2 Sunday Rehearsals) - It's ok to miss a session or 2. But you must be available on September 10th and the show date which is September 13.
