Los Angeles Meets San Francisco. Felt like I was in West Hollywood. If software engineers had agents, they would meet here. Roka Akor pushes out a hip vibe. There's an underground lounge (fancy term for basement bar). Good place if you have to wait for your table. Drinks and food is pricey, but well prepared. I came here for Dine About Town, and probably the best value Dine About Town menu I have seen. Dine about Town gets you 3 dishes for $39. And two of the Roka Akor dishes alone were over $39. Overall I recommend the restaurant, but probably more for Dine About Town. Tell your friends, "Let's do dinner" at Roka.

Quick escape to avoid working-lunch turned out in a great surprise. Pricey? Yes, but worth it. From the spicy edamame to the last piece of Uni everything tasted great. Highly recommended if you're into "modern Japanese" ?

I haven't had a chance to sit down and eat here yet but I love the quick service every time I order to pick up or I just order at the register. It is usually ready within 5-7 minutes. This makes it one of the most convenient and healthy places to eat inside Tyson's corner mall. In addition, the prices are super cheap. One roll, which usually consists of 6 pieces or 4 big pieces, costs less than $6 which is wonderful for any snack or meal!

Sublime. Nothing short of fantastic. We went with the omakase (because why not trust the chef?) and could not have been more pleased. Each course was crafted with an obvious, thoughtful touch, and extraordinarily tasty. Out of some 15 or so plates, the standouts were the Butterfish Tataki appetizer, the Kanpachi amberjack sashimi, the sweet corn with butter and soy, the Miyazaki beef, and the entire dessert portion. I had thought the desserts would be the weakest course after such a strong 4 previous, but they ended up being the perfect bookend to a phenomenal dinner. I've never spent so much on a dinner, but I've never been so delighted with my dining experience either.

One of my new favorite restaurants in SF. I came for Restaurant Week, and for a mere $40, you get a mouth-watering 3-course meal. I have heard rave reviews about their butterfish tataki as well as their hamachi sashimi, so my friends and I ordered 1 of each. The butterfish was so buttery and smooth. I still dream about that dish. Next we ordered both of the second course offerings, black cod and wagyu. Both were cooked to perfection and the flavors were amazing. Lastly, we got the cream puffs for dessert. All in all, it was an amazing meal and I can't wait to go back!

I've enjoyed Roka Akor's Dine About Town menus and their Sunday night happy hour ($1 oysters!). The price points for the regular dinner menu may be too high though.

Trendy Japanese restaurant and bar in the Fidi district with cool underground bar/lounge. To caveat, I came with a vendor but the food and service was amazing. They execute perfectly only what Pabu tries to get right. Wagyu 'sushi' and bone marrow very, very tasting. Impressive presentation of sushi and sashimi platters!. Would definitely go back!
