I haven't had a chance to sit down and eat here yet but I love the quick service every time I order to pick up or I just order at the register. It is usually ready within 5-7 minutes. This makes it one of the most convenient and healthy places to eat inside Tyson's corner mall. In addition, the prices are super cheap. One roll, which usually consists of 6 pieces or 4 big pieces, costs less than $6 which is wonderful for any snack or meal!

If you are coming for the sushi, beware, there are only about 6 options of maki rolls. Nice restaurant meant for people who like pretentious sushi. Waiter also forgot to place one of our orders so we had to wait about 15 minutes longer.

I went here during SF Dine About Town and had the himachi and steak dish. It was seasoned well and tasted great. However, I don't think I would go their if I wanted to get my sushi fix.

Food: 4 Decor: 4 Service: 4 Came here twice for DAT. Menus were identical both times. 1. Butterfish Tataki White Asparagus and Yuzu ~Pretty good. 2. Yuzu Miso Marinated Black Cod Wrapped in Japanese Magnolia Leaf ~Really good. Cod was cooked perfectly. 3. Prime Beef Filet Chili Ginger Sauce ~Delicious. Beef was cooked perfectly, and the sauce complemented really well. 4. Yuzu and Fresh Berry Pavlova ~Pretty good. A bit too sweet for me. Service was pretty good.

Trendy Japanese restaurant and bar in the Fidi district with cool underground bar/lounge. To caveat, I came with a vendor but the food and service was amazing. They execute perfectly only what Pabu tries to get right. Wagyu 'sushi' and bone marrow very, very tasting. Impressive presentation of sushi and sashimi platters!. Would definitely go back!

Review based on just happy hour: For happy hour this place is great!! There's a selection of cocktails along with beer and wine that is discounted. The butterfish tataki is to die for. Truffle fries were a good salty treat with the cocktails. It gets very busy, but the bartenders were quick! Affordable option if you were looking to dine here and just wanted to sample the menu =)

WOWZA! Be prepared to throw down some serious moola (or corporate expense card). This menu has all the right things, at a good price, and believe me, you WILL want to try them all. They stick with the classics, but give them a twist. With unexpected flavor and texture profiles, and a variety of easily-shared formats of foods, you could dine here two meals a day without being bored. The diverse wine and sake list keeps your visit exceptionally interesting. I highly recommend you take people you want to impress, and utilize an Uber or alternative public transportation.

This place became an instant favorite. INSTANT. With an amazing ambiance and even more amazing food and cocktails, there's no doubt Roka Akor is a restaurant that I would like to return to again and again. Obviously, the plan of the entire space was very well thought out. The bar/lounge downstairs has the perfect balance of light and dark so that it's both inviting, interesting, and chill. The bar itself is easily obtainable as it's in the middle of the entire floor, decorated with vats of aging sake to keep with the restaurant's cool Japanese theme, and the large party tables stay close to the wall - so uncomfortable crowds can be avoided for your own good time. The staff is incredibly friendly and more importantly, the cocktails are delicious and strong. ;-) I love seafood and order it almost everywhere I go and I have to admit, Roka sets the bar super high. They cook and prepare everything to perfection. Beautifully presented and intricately seasoned, each piece served has a unique dimension of flavor and aroma that is, no doubt, unforgettable. My personal favorite, which I will order every time, are the: Madagascar Tiger Prawn - the size of my arm. Like "prawn heaven" if there ever was one. Wagyu Beef - Melts in your mouth. So good! Roasted King Crab - Yeah, it was a fancy place but that didn't stop me from using my hands because it was just too good not to eat every morsel! The Dessert Platter - A taste of everything on the dessert menu. Trust me, you won't want to miss anything on the dessert menu and this platter ensures that you won't. It's meant to share but... uhmmm... You will secretly want to keep it all to yourself. Before coming to this restaurant I didn't even know what "Roka Akor" meant. Now I know it means "SUPER DELICIOUS EVERYTHING." That is all.

Join Roka Akor for a special Sushi and Sashimi Omakase menu on White Day for $150.

History: Valentine's Day is typically observed by women presenting chocolate gifts to men, as an expression of love. On White Day, the reverse happens: men who received chocolate on Valentine's Day are expected to return the favor by giving chocolate gifts.
