COJOT is proud to announce the first deliveries of Switched Beam Antennas (SBA)

SBA is a directional antenna with digitally switchable antenna beam. The antenna beam can be directed 360 degrees horizontally and the beam width can be adjusted. The SBA gives optimal gain to the desired direction and provides rejection against interference from other directions.

The SBA is suitable e.g. for complex node networks in tactical communications, providing crucial advantages like:

● Improved coverage and LPI / LPD
● Different beam modes (sharp, wide. omni)
● Serves various clients or moving objects
● Low installation cost and less complexity
● Simple and field proven control protocol

TIMES MICROWAVE SYSTEMS have introduced an exciting new series of LMR® cable products which are highly resistant to rodent damage. The RodentRepel® cable jacket contains a proprietary non-hazardous, non-toxic additive that discourages rodents and other animals from chewing the cable. The additive is environmentally safe and not harmful to humans, birds or animals. The repellent exhibits a scent that animals readily associate with predators and interpret as a danger signal but that is imperceptible to people. Times RodentRepel® coaxial cables also include the LMR® watertight “DB” feature for excellent resistance to water ingress and are compatible with all Times connectors, tools and accessories.

Part Number Description
LMR-400-RR-DB LMR-400 watertight, RodentRepel, Black PE jacket
LMR-900-RR-DB LMR-900 watertight, RodentRepel, Black PE jacket

The Difference Between 75 Ohm and 50 Ohm Coaxial Cables
50 Ohm and 75 Ohm values refer to the impedance of the coaxial cable. Impedance is a measure of resistance, in the cable, to the flow of electrical energy. There really is no "good" or "bad" impedance, just the right impedance for your application.
For 75 Ohm cable, the primary application is the transmission of a video signal. In the case of 50 Ohm cable, the two primary uses are for transferring data signals and, in the case of low-loss 50 Ohm cable, the transfer of RF signals in wireless networks.
Simply put, 75 Ohm is mainly used for images/video and 50 Ohm is used for wired and wireless network data signal transfer.
