POLITICO won two SPJ Dateline Awards at the Washington chapter’s annual banquet Tuesday night at the National Press Club.  Manu Raju won the annual beat reporting prize for his detailed, behind-the-scenes reports on the GOP establishment’s efforts to tame the tea party. Roger Simon won for best columns-blogs for his analysis of the rioting in Ferguson last August, among other pieces.
