The always erudite and insightful shares her thoughts on how to compete better when your SEO efforts aren't quite as strong as your business is.
My friend, John Soper, who's a gynecological oncologist here in the Triangle, is a member of N.E.D. (No Evidence of Disease). N.E.D. is rock group comprised of other gynecological oncologists from around the U.S. who perform to raise awareness of women's cancer and the need for funding and support.
Please take four minutes to read about the group and this particular contest (the winner, among other things, will appear on Jimmy Kimmel) and then visit the Get Out Of The Garage page to sign up. You can use a one-time use email address (yourGmailname+another email@example.com) if you worry about email lists.
And please share this on your feeds, as well. Of all the "I support cancer" posts out there, this is one that could actually raise national awareness among an audience that needs to hear this message.

Hi, I'm Roger Friedensen. I began my consulting career in 1985 with Epley Associates, Inc., one of the Southeast’s leading public relations firms.Since then, I've managed a wide array of strategic communication programs for a broad range of regional, national and international clients across dozens of industries.
Before co-founding Forge Communications in late 2009, I served as senior vice president of client services at Epley Associates, Inc. and The Catevo Group. My specialties include future-based strategic planning, reputation design and management, crisis communications, issues management, writing, media relations and spokesperson training.
A past visiting instructor in the Department of Communication Studies at North Carolina State University, I am a frequent speaker at local and national conferences and forums. I hold master's and bachelor's degrees in speech communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and am a rabid Tar Heel fan during basketball season. Active in the community, I'm a steering committee member of and counsel to the Regional Transportation Alliance and have served on the boards of many other local and state organizations. An accredited member of PRSA, I served on the Executive Committee of the Counselors Academy and am past president of the Raleigh Public Relations Society.
A professional guitarist, I perform regularly around the Triangle and have released two CDs. In addition, I'm a father, husband, cook, gym rat and music geek. To listen to some of my original music, visit: http://www.forgecommunications.com and find me on the Leadership page.
