Focus Fast.  It’s really all about creating experiences. That’s true of  #TechXpressionist art and user experience design. I will give you some practical pointers liked the #Fishbone2Wishbone and how to hunt for those elusive, yet highly prized #GonnaWannas. And I have lots of images, so #FocusFast.http://bigdesigndallas.com/speakers/roger-belveal/  #BigD15 #belveal #dallas

TechXpressionism, the earthy industrial rendition of contemporary digital themes has become the belveal trademark. This genre is a statement about the culture of our time, being transformed by the digital technology we are immersed in daily if not moment by moment.

I coined the term TechXpressionism to describe the dichotomy of the art in that it is a celebration of the technology and our affection for it and at the same time, an open rebellion against the slick aesthetic of the electronic world, particularly the intangible world behind the glass.

My human scale TechXpressionism pieces bring familiar imagery from our digital experiences out from behind the glass and into our space. From virtual to actual and in some cases back and forth again, crisscrossing the chasm between realities like Alice stepping in and out of the looking glass.

These works have been extremely popular among millennials and geeks. A long and growing list of tech startups have vied for a turn to showcase these pieces.

My TechXpressionist works are being featured in a brand new gallery just opened 5/16/2015 in the Dallas Design District.
