I am ecstatic, teary eyed on joy and joy alone I share this awesome watershed event in the Windows saga :-)
One of the most frequent requests we receive is to increase the number of colors that the Windows Console can support. We love nothing more than to deliver features you ask for!

Why? what is wrong with older versions of Flash?
Microsoft has announced that it will soon start blocking outdated versions of Adobe Flash Player from running in Internet Explorer on Windows 7.

Had me at "It's Microsoft's Fault" :-D
If you look at the low-end ($200-$300) Windows laptop market in 2016 you’ll notice that the hardware spec is mostly the same regardless of which brand name is on the casing. We get [...]

Anyone lucky to own a Videotex console (the 26-5000/5001) from Radio Shack? Most of the terminals I have seen on Ebay and even the one I got came with no cable and no docs. When I finally got the docs there was no information in there about the cable so I had to quickly reverse engineer the connections snooping on the Videotex board.

A simple schematic of the wiring on the cable can now be found at the CoCo Archive :-)

The Videotex console - pre-CoCo box - is a dedicated dumb terminal with only a 300 baud modem as means to connect to the outer world. I have the 26-5000 model which only has 4K of RAM on it, the other one is the 26-5001 with 16K, allows for more storage of data on its buffer. The console has only one 5 pin din jack on its back for the modem connection and this is where the cable goes in, other end of the cable is a regular RJ11 plug that goes into the telco phone jack. Would have been a good idea for Tandy to provide for an RS232 port on that console besides the telephone one, could have used faster external modems - by faster I mean 1200 and perhaps 2400 baud capable modems :-)

Really? Is this a proven beyond any reasonable doubt fact? Yahoo! has at least 500 million accounts? REALLY?
In a statement released today, Yahoo said a hack of its network in late 2014 breached information related to at least 500 million user accounts. The company says it believes "a state-sponsored...

I just got my e-mail alert to change the password last week. There is little there of concern but the lag in damage control response seems a bit... boxy :-(
Although the accounts were stolen during a previously disclosed breach, only now is the extent coming to light.

Introduction
Born in the "Capital Of The World" city of Hidalgo del Parral Chihuahua México one July of 1967, I have steadily devolved throughout the years into the outspoken non-partisan atheist blunt honest person I am today.

Technology friendly I don't need a manual to figure out how stuff works, except humans - those are a number on themselves. I like almost any type of music short of Country, Hiphop, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Salsa, Punk, Grunge and related. SciFi aficionado I will happily watch Star Trek & Star Wars re-runs on a dime.

Thanks for stopping by!

Worst pizza I had ever had was at LaGuardia Airport NYC. With that in mind I approached Reggio's with not much of a hope, I was in a crunch and the other food stands were not that appealing... went for the Pepperoni & Sausage deep dish personal pizza, what a nice surprise upon the first bite!. Have to say this is the best pizza at O'Hare - I'm sure there are other places in the city that may offer a better fare, but for my travel records, Reggio's is a must visit the next time around.

My kid and I were looking for a frozen yogurt outlet close to our place, found Yogurt City through Google Maps, no reviews - this is to correct that flaw: the place doesn't look like much from the outside but walking in you'll find a clean establishment with a wide assortment of yogurt flavors: coffee, chocolate, strawberry, coconut, banana, cheesecake, cookies and many more... and then the toppings - the variety is there. In a nutshell we loved it, will be returning customers.

Good place to go for pizza, calzones and rolls. The Italian sauce is top notch, one of the best I have tasted. Can eat in, there are a few tables in there, I prefer to phone in the order and pick up - quick and good service from the staff.

Small and cozy, never had a problem getting a table to do a quick band meeting after rehearsal while cooling off with a decent array of beers. The food is great too, service is courteous and fast. My band's pit stop of choice!
