Nostalgico? Può essere.....😆

I had a Phillips 42" that started failing when ambient temp got cold, can be a problem in NYC during the cold months. Tried to repair it but never got around to it - sold it for 1 US cent on Ebay, local guy picks it up and later e-mails me a couple of filter caps were bad on the power supply... I was just glad the set was out of my home, an LCD was already on the big screen duties. Ebay buyer got a good deal. Win win scenario I say :-)

Hope this is not a re-post. Found the site while looking for the Altair replica. Playing Zork and seeing the computer react on the webcam is something to experience :-)

That system is an Altair Clone (http://altairclone.com/), and another PC running GNU/Linux to control the web access.

There is a thread on the Altair Clone forums about this setup.

Tip 22 - go online using Lynx. Almost any 8 bits computer will do (through a shell account of course!).
Avoiding being tracked online is nearly impossible, but here are a few ways to reduce the risk

Story

Yes, I am *that* Rogelio Perea...
Introduction
Born in the "Capital Of The World" city of Hidalgo del Parral Chihuahua México one July of 1967, I have steadily devolved throughout the years into the outspoken non-partisan atheist blunt honest person I am today.

Technology friendly I don't need a manual to figure out how stuff works, except humans - those are a number on themselves. I like almost any type of music short of Country, Hiphop, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Salsa, Punk, Grunge and related. SciFi aficionado I will happily watch Star Trek & Star Wars re-runs on a dime.

Thanks for stopping by!

Rogelio “DrummerWithADayJob” Perea's +1's are the things they like, agree with, or want to recommend.
My kid and I were looking for a frozen yogurt outlet close to our place, found Yogurt City through Google Maps, no reviews - this is to correct that flaw: the place doesn't look like much from the outside but walking in you'll find a clean establishment with a wide assortment of yogurt flavors: coffee, chocolate, strawberry, coconut, banana, cheesecake, cookies and many more... and then the toppings - the variety is there. In a nutshell we loved it, will be returning customers.

Good place to go for pizza, calzones and rolls. The Italian sauce is top notch, one of the best I have tasted. Can eat in, there are a few tables in there, I prefer to phone in the order and pick up - quick and good service from the staff.

Small and cozy, never had a problem getting a table to do a quick band meeting after rehearsal while cooling off with a decent array of beers. The food is great too, service is courteous and fast. My band's pit stop of choice!
