Not my auction. I bought this book back in 1981 mostly because it included a pretty useful TRS-80 BASIC program to calculate dimensions for closed and vented speaker cabinets. It might be of interest for someone in the community.

And yet, corporate makes all employees endure repeated sessions of dull and pointless "training" session on security. Sigh.
Just 1 percent of employees are responsible for 75 percent of cloud-related enterprise security risks

Improving morale of developers. No one ever talks about Broadcast Engineers... nor Industrial Engineers... what about us?
In another blow to achieving diversity in tech, Chinese startups have started hiring "programming cheerleaders" to spur on their mostly-male developers.

Was told back in first semester of college '84 (yes, previous Century) that the language was a dead one. Was I lied to? ;-)

Hey... I have a bag full of GOTOs and GOSUBs and am not afraid to use them!
Many people still believe developers simply do what they're told, but as Twilio CEO Jeff Lawson says, skyrocketing demand for more and better software is putting devs in the driver's seat

Rumour has it the survey ran among a Redmond crowd...
We're closing in on a month since the official launch of Windows 10. Millions of people have had a good amount of time to react to it, and it looks like overall impressions are positive. According to a study done by Brandwatch, which measured the response to Windows 10 on social media, the number of people who love Windows 10 far outnumbers those who hate it. In all, 92% of responses...

Very fascinating, the "big four" home computer companies well represented, Apple, Atari, Commodore and Radio Shack.  This was just before the VIC-20 and IBM-PC were introduced.

Yes, I am *that* Rogelio Perea...
Introduction
Born in the "Capital Of The World" city of Hidalgo del Parral Chihuahua México one July of 1967, I have steadily devolved throughout the years into the outspoken non-partisan atheist blunt honest person I am today.

Technology friendly I don't need a manual to figure out how stuff works, except humans - those are a number on themselves. I like almost any type of music short of Country, Hiphop, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Salsa, Punk, Grunge and related. SciFi aficionado I will happily watch Star Trek & Star Wars re-runs on a dime.

Thanks for stopping by!

Worst pizza I had ever had was at LaGuardia Airport NYC. With that in mind I approached Reggio's with not much of a hope, I was in a crunch and the other food stands were not that appealing... went for the Pepperoni & Sausage deep dish personal pizza, what a nice surprise upon the first bite!. Have to say this is the best pizza at O'Hare - I'm sure there are other places in the city that may offer a better fare, but for my travel records, Reggio's is a must visit the next time around.

My kid and I were looking for a frozen yogurt outlet close to our place, found Yogurt City through Google Maps, no reviews - this is to correct that flaw: the place doesn't look like much from the outside but walking in you'll find a clean establishment with a wide assortment of yogurt flavors: coffee, chocolate, strawberry, coconut, banana, cheesecake, cookies and many more... and then the toppings - the variety is there. In a nutshell we loved it, will be returning customers.

Good place to go for pizza, calzones and rolls. The Italian sauce is top notch, one of the best I have tasted. Can eat in, there are a few tables in there, I prefer to phone in the order and pick up - quick and good service from the staff.

Small and cozy, never had a problem getting a table to do a quick band meeting after rehearsal while cooling off with a decent array of beers. The food is great too, service is courteous and fast. My band's pit stop of choice!
