Being charged by (going down) a volcano? - http://buff.ly/1mb7UkG - Nissan Leaf & Hawaii’s Māmaka Kaiao Make Magic
Hawaiian and Nissan Leaf magic combine to make possible a climb to heaven's morning -- for the Leaf's driver, a Maui resident, that is. Neil Wagner woke predawn to become part of the famed sunrise over the volcano in Haleakalā National Park. Imagine the lone darkness and ascending climb of 10,000-foot elevation to view the

Big Savings. Waiting for Big Mileage now - http://buff.ly/1gVudFv - Hey, Google: This College Student Built An Autonomous Car For $4,000
It's an exciting time in the automotive industry. New powertrains are in the works. Cars are learning to talk to one another. Self-driving vehicles are just around the corner. But of course, all those advances come at a price. How much will that technology add to the cost of a conventional car?...

If it takes less than 30 seconds to charge your phone with this, imagine what this could do for EV batteries. Or for grid storage to store big spikes of energy from solar or wind.

Always good to see how some technological developments are inspired by nature, as is this one. Nature still has a lot of tricks to teach us, which is another reason to be careful with it.

I don't believe that there exists a safe-for-battery quick-charge method, period.    Chemistry is not fooled by marketing, +Roelof Reineman .    I'm sure that some quick-charge methods are better than others, but that's hardly a recommendation.

You could call a person who now drives electric a converted person. Now it just became possible to convert your beloved Tesla Model S. Would +Elon Musk approve?

I wonder how this stacks up against a system where you can quickly/easily charge at every (other) bus stop. Would mean a shift from investments from battery to more chargers, but could still be an attractive proposal. More frequent charging, smaller batteries, more passengers/miles?

Let's see if I can run some simulations for this ;-)

It is articles such as these that make me want to dive back into my old Matlab simulations again. Possiby build on on them and broaden their applications. #ECMS #Matlab

Electric Vehicle Solutions for You!
Introduction

Technology improves our life's quality. I'm blessed with a technical background and an entrepreneurial spirit. I like how technology reduces our burden on others and the environment, while also making us more self sufficient.

It was Tesla who showed us the new Electric Car; mobility without pollution. It was Google who showed us the Autonomous Car; mobility for everyone. And there is the Shared Car; having car benefits without the ownership hassle. These developments and my background make me enjoy shaping our future during the Mobility Transition and give people directions.

All combined they will form our future mobility. Our future cars will be electric, autonomous and shared. They will not pollute, will be driven by computers and lack ownership hassle. The overall mobility experience will be better; no burden on others or the environment and a stress free mobility experience.

With my technical background and entrepreneurial spirit I can help people in the Mobility Transition and identify new business opportunities. My ability to explain complex technical matters in plain language help illustrate this vision.

I help people see this future and learn of their benefits, I provide insights, examples and solutions that will spur the mobility transition. It is not a question of 'if', but rather a question of 'when'. When will you be ready?

Get in touch to see how I can help you.
