+Jonathan Lussier , the control interface from the fan is listed at 24v, but my voltmeter only reads 5v from it. And the control lines only push 0.5 mA, so there's no problem controlling them with a couple NPN2222 transistors. There's also a temperature IC to determine when to turn the fan to low speed or off. Next I need to run external power to it because it drained a 9v battery too low after just 7 hours last night and flaked out at 5am, waking me up.
