Veterans Day

Don’t forget that today isn’t just another holiday. It’s a day to honor those who have served their country. In 1919 the foundation for what would become known as Veterans Day was proclaimed with the following quote:

“To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations." –Woodrow Wilson

In later years, the name would be changed from Armistice Day to Veterans Day. Regardless, the meaning for the holiday still applies, and so does my gratitude for all the veterans who have served, your service has not gone unnoticed.
