Looking forward to true mobile password management. My current manager, (WebRoot), works well on my laptop, but has been infuriating on my Android devices. See
Improved password management and Autofill APIs are making their way to Android O, allowing users to switch between active password managers just as they would a keyboard.

NY Attorney General accuses Charter Spectrum of cheating millions. Media companies take notice!

Disturbing Trend for cord cutters: Shows previously available on Netflix (like NCIS,) are opting for pay as you go models on HULU, Amazon, etc.

The first 12 seasons are still on Netflix, but season 13 is only available at additional cost on the services mentioned above.

This spells trouble for cord cutters and services like Netflix. Effectively devaluing their services while trying to get cord cutters to pony up more cash, they could be trying to replace the once cornered market of cable and satellite TV for an updated model.

It's also possible that networks have set time limits before a show moves from a pay version to inclusion on services like Netflix.

Only time will tell, but we need to be vigilant.

I'm not sure how I feel about the announcement yesterday regarding the StudioPress  Digital Commerce Institute and Summit announcement. Academy + Summit = $495, (then $295 for additional years of Academy). That's not counting Rainmaker ($79 to $125 monthly), though not required, it's seems geared towards for the full experience.

I have used Foundation and  Bootstrap, as frameworks, then settled on Genesis after working in WordPress for several years. It was one of many jumps in my career, moving from hand coding to any framework, but Rainmaker seems like it's for a different skill set.

I do think that the marketing aspects of the Digital Commerce Institute / Academy would be beneficial, but beyond that...

I'm really interested in hearing the thoughts of other Genesis developers and users.

I've updated all of my WordPress sites to 3.7 "Basie" without any problems. I backed up all of my commercial sites before hand as always, just to be sure. This update has been made even more reliable and secure, with dozens of new checks and safeguards. They've included a password meter where you can get your stubborn / naive clients to test their passwords. Great idea to drive security home.   If you haven't updated, you should. You can read more about it here:

Things I need to remind myself on bad days!
7 Great Rules For Life

Follow these rules for life and your life can only get better and better. Here's my explanation of how to start applying these great rules for life:

1. Don't Let Your Past Screw Up Your Today. -- How do you do that? Accept that your past is what it is and focus on today.
2. Stop Thinking (worrying) About What Others Think of You -- Ultimately it really doesn't matter what others think of you. It only matters what you think of you.
3. Practice Being Patient -- It's true that time is the great healer, but it can only work when you're patient enough to let it.
4. Don't Compare Yourself to Others -- We each have our own path to walk. Comparing your journey to someone else's only causes you to loose sight of your own path.
5. Don't Over Think Things -- You don't have to know all the answers. That's what stepping out in faith is for.
6. Don't Say "You Made Me Feel..." -- No one controls your happiness (or any of your other feelings) except you.
7. Smile More -- No matter what your present circumstances or life has been, you've got a lot to be thankful for.

I've got some more work to do myself on applying a few of these rules for life. We're all always changing - either we're getting better or worse. Will you join me in making your life better by applying these life rules?
