Doing a road trip across Canada this summer? You may be passing through Brandon, Manitoba. If so, don't miss out on these unexpected gems! #Manitoba #Canada
It was my last 48 hours of my month-long trip throughout Manitoba, and I was on my way to Brandon to facilitate a social media workshop. A 2.5 hour drive west of Winnipeg along the Assiniboine River, Brandon is the second largest city in Manitoba and the agricultural hub of the province. In some ways, …

I only started using Snapchat a few months ago, and realized that travel writers and Instagrammers were using it, but there was a distinct lack of perspective from the tourism industry. But why? I went to investigate by speaking to a major tourism operator who have been embracing Snapchat for more than a year.
Whistler Blackcomb shares how they use Snapchat to prompt social sharing and consumer engagement that can help destination marketing organizations.

Spring in Vancouver? It gets me every time.
Those who claim that Canada doesn’t experience a proper spring have clearly never been to Vancouver. That’s the first thing that popped into my head when I was walking home on Thursday after a short run through my East Vancouver neighbourhood. It was 17 degrees Celsius outside and the air was …

I've recently been taking on small assignments with Eater Vancouver, an international food blog that's relatively new to the Vancouver scene. My latest assignment was to compile a short overview of every single eating establishment in the Vancouver International Airport, as well as a few restaurants within close proximity.
Need a good place to eat at YVR Airport? Look no further. Here's the first Eater guide to YVR International Airport. It maps out every food option throughout each...

Is East Van becoming more like a caricature of Portlandia with the opening of craft distilleries? Maybe... but bring it on!
If East Van wasn't already a caricature of Portlandia, it's becoming more so now, thanks to Odd Society Distlilery, Hallelujah!

Ever wondered why swarms of ants suddenly take over a city?
Right on cue, it’s flying ant season in Vancouver. As an amateur entomologist, I’ve noticed over the past few years that Vancouver’s flying ants come out in full force on the first muggy, humid day of summer. In 2015, they appeared on an overcast, muggy Sunday afternoon – June 28th – which also happened to …

A blog post I've felt compelled to write for about a few months now. Photos were taken during an afternoon last summer that I just couldn't not share.
Vancouver's Chinatown isn't pretty, but no one can deny it has character. A photo essay to set expectations for this Vancouver community steeped in history.

If only you could combine the character of Vancouver's China Town, with the prettiness of Victoria's China town.

So I'm starting to blog again, and am committed to publishing a monthly roundup of my favourite things to do in Vancouver month by month. It's time I transfer my writing from travel forum back to my blog, and hope it inspires a few individuals along the way! #Vancouver
A monthly roundup of things to do in Vancouver in January. These are highlights of the best events and activities worth pursuing according to BCRobyn.

My old blog post has apparently gone viral...
How big is British Columbia? It's big. Vast. Bigger than most US states, bigger than most countries.

“Culinary journey” may be standard chef talk, but in this case, there was no exaggeration. #ExploreMB
"Culinary journey" may be standard chef talk, but in this case, there was no exaggeration. This was no ordinary 5 course dinner at the Fairmont Winnipeg.
