The New York Times recently identified that STEM is the “national priority in education.” With that in mind, we have partnered with Carnegie Mellon's Robotics Academy and the University of Pittsburgh's Learning Research & Development Center to identify the characteristics of an effective, ambitious STEM educational solution!

Excited to be featured on Pittsburgh Business Times as one of Pittsburgh's Coolest Offices! We do have an awesome location but our office is also cool because of the people! We are able to combine software engineers, artists, teachers and cognitive scientists together to create fun and engaging STEM education solutions.

"For decades, the number of women studying computer science was growing faster than the number of men. But in 1984, something changed. The percentage of women in computer science flattened, and then plunged, even as the share of women in other technical and professional fields kept rising."

Film, radio, and TV were all going to change student outcomes for the better. What do we do to avoid the fate of CS education becoming another addition to the list of education fads that burn brightly for a time but soon become extinguished?

Congratulations to the MOONBOTS winners, Team BuildersKids from Mexico! When asked, “What would you leave as a legacy on the Moon?” The team’s winning idea was to send frozen DNA samples of everything they could preserve to the Moon.

We are proud to have been a sponsor of the MOONBOTS challenge these past two years.
