It isn't often one is priviledged to read an honest, first person account like this one... from what to look for to what to do if you find a lump and much more.... informative, well written and gracefully lived.  #breastcancerawareness

I guess this guy is passionate about Yoga, eh? :-) Nevertheless, I find his attitude a little judgemental......
but it also makes me laugh.
At a time that religious passions have been stirred over the observation of International Yoga Day and practising of Surya Namaskar in schools, Baba Ramdev, who has today become virtually synonymous with yoga, indulged in some tongue-in-cheek jousting over the controversy. Speaking on the subject at a function organised by the Parmarath Ashram in Rishikesh, Baba Ramdev challenged the very basis of the opposition. “Take in air and then exhale. Do ...

Book keeping is an art, as is the financial reporting of high-paid CFOs. Even the professional accountant companies get deceived quite regularly. At some point a company gets punished, of course, and might drag the whole market down. Which is why trading is so much fun. :-)

Ray Kurtzweil on one mind boggling guy IMHO

Ray Kurzweil's Mind-Boggling Predictions for the Next 25 Years - Singularity HUB

'... By the late 2010s, glasses will beam images directly onto the retina. Ten terabytes of computing power (roughly the same as the human brain) will cost about $1,000.

By the 2020s, most diseases will go away as nanobots become smarter than current medical technology. Normal human eating can be replaced by nanosystems. The Turing test begins to be passable. Self-driving cars begin to take over the roads, and people won’t be allowed to drive on highways.

By the 2030s, virtual reality will begin to feel 100% real. We will be able to upload our mind/consciousness by the end of the decade.

By the 2040s, non-biological intelligence will be a billion times more capable than biological intelligence (a.k.a. us). Nanotech foglets will be able to make food out of thin air and create any object in physical world at a whim.

By 2045, we will multiply our intelligence a billionfold by linking wirelessly from our neocortex to a synthetic neocortex in the cloud.

This is absolutely fascinating.... and the photos are amazing.

The Mystery of the Margate Shell Grotto.
"In 1835 a labourer was digging a field just outside the English seaside town of Margate.  His work was interrupted when he thrust his spade in to the soil and it simply vanished in to the ground.  The master of the nearby Dane House School, James Newlove, was made aware of this strange disappearance.  He volunteered his young son, Joshua, for the task of being lowered, candle in hand, in to the void via a length of rope."

I've suffered from sciatica and lower back pain for years and I spend a lot of time in front of a computer so last winter I was in so much pain that by spring I decided to try chiropractic. Nothing prepared for the wonderful experience I had at River's Edge Chiropriactic. I had tried chiropractic many years ago in Brooklyn without real success, but since this office was right here in Lambertville and had a good reputation, I decided to give it a try.. River's Edge Chiropractic uses state of the art, digital equipment for both diagnosis and treatment and I was amazed when my detailed posture analysis was explained to me and when the treatment began. I began to walk better and stand straighter right away. Both Dr. Thum and Dr. Comune are skilled professionals and use something called the Activator method which had me pain free in a matter of a few weeks. Regular adjustments and some sensible diet and exercise recommendations have made all the difference. I am so grateful and feel very lucky to have a wellness resource like River's Edge Chiropractic so nearby.

I love the River Queen Gallery. The high ceilings and open space of this former firehouse, smack in the middle of downtown Lambertville, make it a place I visit often. The gallery features work by local artists and artisans and there is always a wide, ever changing variety. Owner Jane Wesby has a discerning eye and great taste. The people she represents are all consummate professionals and you can find everything from a unique pair of hand crafted earrings, to an exquisite painting( beautifully framed od course) or magnificent contemporary carved wood chairs. There are also occasional openings and musical events that spill out into the streets. Something for everybody and always something to make you smile.
