Cows grazing the driveway. Here's our belted galloways and our one Jersey cleaning up the side of the fence.  Just some trimming needed now, after a couple of days at it (with lots of union breaks.) #farming   #grassfedbeef   (This is carbon-neutral mowing...)

Suspense. Chills. Whodunit?!? Google made this short trailer for a movie of killer cats, defensive calves, unsuspecting chickens, calves - and the naive guard dog.  Classic Beethoven theme put to good use. Did anyone ever fear life on the farm - so dramatic... #farming   #dramatic

Getting through Rainmaker homework. Tons to wade through. Building a site from scratch - I'll import some of the content I've got spread around elsewhere. Meanwhile, it will make podscasting possible - a hub for media-content. Think: books in 5 dimensions...

Like Dorothy in her poppy field... This is red and white clover in a nearby pasture. Bees are busy - you can hear them. These are over knee high in spots, close to mid-thigh, the fescue seed heads sprouting in between. One trick is to get the cows to eat the clover seed heads (after the flower stage) and re-sow the clover - naturally. #grassfedbeef #farming

Closer to true than rant. College (except privately+funded ones) are mostly a wasted effort.

Snowden wins.
Opponents of the NSA's bulk collection of telephone data blocked multiple attempts in the Senate to extend the expiring law that authorizes the program.

Trimming our driveway - Amish style. Yes, I've seen their horse-pulled mowers, but also seen their cows along the roads. Since we didn't have to go anywhere for a day, I arranged our mowers to get to work. Pay is good. #grassfedbeef #farming (They'll get moved to the other side of that thin electric fence tomorrow.)
