Great little design. Are there any decent solid state GM tube replacements? CMOS imager with a scintillating crystal?

Well... The dwaha fellows are just doing the usual doped up "if things were different? They would be, you know, Different, man" thing that all apologists do. Bill on the other hand says things that demonstrate not only his stupidity but are the antidote for skynet. Just having that on the interwebs caps any singularity's IQ at less than 100.

I suppose it must be coincidence that the majority decided to start burning the commons right after SCOTUS starts saying minorities have a right to access it.

It's sintered tungsten carbide right?

+TAOFLEDERMAUS I think solid tungsten carbide can be made. It's just way to brittle to be of much use in tooling. Pure tungsten is quite a bit denser than the carbide, 19.3 vs 15.6 grams per cm^3, and mutch less brittle.

Based on your comments the only way to make your use of words consistent is to say everyone is born asexual. You need to define your terms when using them in a way contrary to their usual usage. Nothing you have said sugests that the gender a person is sexualy attracted to is a choice, only that sexual attraction is not present at birth. Higher motor functions aren't present at birth, are they a choice?

Misleading and confusing. Physical objects aren't infinitely divisible, so the chocolate bar and bill examples are just going to confuse people.

When you start with "math proves you can do x" then end up at "you can't actually do x" a lot of people are going to end up thinking math beyond simple arithmetic is useless in the "real" world.

Aww. I thought it would be something like projection mapping onto body paint. It's just a very, very ugly bodysuit. The concept is worse than than the construction, sorta kinda flashing in different patterns based on respiratory rate? Give it real-time ecg, emg, eeg, glucose, and spO2. Hell give it a continuous BAC monitor and have it signal so whenever a glass gets low (measured by the emg of arm muscles or something spiffy like that) it orders the right drink from your favorites list to keep you in your target inebriation level.

Having a rear cam option, even with an ugly screen, would be a nice touch.

+ChrisFix read that the company that does the navtronics system can have it read qr codes. Hope it doesn't have an interesting failuremode ala http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2010-03-22. Though bumping the car to wake it up via the alarm system and unlocking via a one time use qrcode passcode could be better than calling AAA to pop the door lock.

It's the joules that kill. I think there was a documented case of ~9v killing an electronics tech in one of the armed forces when he was fiddling around with pointed probes and they peirced the skin on each hand.

+Robert Szasz By peircing the skin he got past the skin resistance so the voltage was sufficient. So you can still say it was the amps that disturbed the heart rhythm (i.e. the coulombs per second through the heart) and that the voltage was sufficient to produce that amperage (i.e. the voltage being the joules per coulomb.) Or, since it was a combination of the two, that's coulombs/second x joules/coulomb = joules/second, so the joules/second kill. The answer to the question really is that both together kill.

To be fair, Falun Gong is a bit more than "a meditation practice". Are the Moonies just a friendly social gathering, Scientology simple life coaching, or the Catholic church a philosophy club?

+Robert Szasz Ah well, that's what happens when a government gets it into their heads that they should control every aspect of life. In a way, refusing the party one could argue is a form of rebellion because that's pretty much telling the party that they are (in part) no longer in control of an aspect of Chinese society. It doesn't matter that Falung Gong doesn't do anything in practice that hurts the CCP, its that they exist and are separate from the CCP. To them, Falung Gong is a political rival.

Thanks for covering this. The idea of titrating a "medication" by finding the point where it makes you violently shit yourself is insane. How can anyone do that and not recognize that they are poisoning the person injesting it.
