Dr Who performing Time Warp at #STLV . It was glorious.

My thoughts on the new "Guidelines" posted today. #StarTrek

Gene's words have always resonated with me. Star Trek is how I try to live my life. Belief we all can be better then what we are, or what history has molded us into. Belief we should never accept accept the status quo, we should question, we should learn, we should reach for the Stars. All of us have our own way of applying this to our own lives. Some want to give back to Star Trek what it has given then, these "Guidelines" have taken all the hard work and effort by very talented people and told them "Your effort are worthless. You can't play in our yard" Thousands of people have spent Countless hours pouring their talent into a world they beloved. I really hope somehow this is overturned but if not I hope those people and the thousands more will not turn away from what they love. I hope we could still give back what Star Trek has given us.

On Saturday 20th February, the Last Chance Saloon for potential attendees of San Diego Comic-Con 2016 gets underway, with the Open Badge Registration - the one and only opportunity to land those prized badges - taking place from 9am PT (Midday ET / 5pm GMT).

Badges will most likely sell out within the hour... But this is assuming everything will go smoothly. In this episode, Leonard and Alyssa will be looking over the events of the Badge Sale to commentate on the highs and lows of the day.

We'll be joined by hangout regular and fan favourite Mark Searby to talk about his efforts as part of a badge team - here's fingers crossed he'll be in a good mood!

We'll also be joined by Joel Meadows of +Tripwire Magazine who is attending +London Super Comic Convention this weekend - he'll be reporting live on the highlights of the first major UK comics convention of the year. We'll hopefully also be joined by +Michael Leventhal who will be giving us a report from last week's Toy Fair in New York. A pretty full show - just the way we like it!

TALKIN' COMIC-CON: A CUP O' TEA WITH AN ENGLISHMAN IN SAN DIEGO is the weekly San Diego +Comic-Con International Hangout On Air taking place every Sunday (6pm GMT / 10am PT / 1pm ET) and hosted by +Leonard Sultana.

Each week, the best bloggers on t'web talk about San Diego Comic-Con, about con & pop culture and, for an hour or so, we invite guests to talk to us and get nerdy and geeky about everything that orbits the Best Pop Culture Convention On The Planet!

YOU can watch and interact online, either by Twitter (tweeting with the hashtag #CupOTeaSDCC ) or via the Hangout Event Q&A. Schedules permitting, Leonard will be joined by guests from the SDCC blogging community and some surprises!

Our Guests, this week:

...+Alyssa Franks, Friends Of CC Forum
...+JOEL MEADOWS, +Tripwire Magazine
...+Mark Searby
...+Michael Leventhal
... more guests to be confirmed!

If you have anything you'd like to have discussed in these Comic-Con shows, please put a suggestion in the comments - we'd love to hear what you'd like to talk about. And don't forget to join in the conversation LIVE during the show, using the Q&A button in the video preview above or on Twitter (#CupOTeaSDCC)

See you all this and every Sunday at 6pm GMT... LIVE!

>> ‘Getting Mouthy’ DEADPOOL: An Englishman In San Diego's Spoiler Free(-ish) Review, by Jon Clarke (Goatboy) <<

+An Englishman In San Diego Contributor +Jon Clarke (aka, Goatboy), does some breaking of the fourth wall himself as he gives his thoughts on the first (proper) big screen outing of Marvel’s own comic book bad boy, DEADPOOL…

"This is not a film to be precious about. ‘Proper’ film critics – those that cherish the noble art of film-making – are going to tear this movie apart for lack of story, ineffectual bad guy, excessive over-the-top explosions and vulgar language… Thankfully, I’m not burdened with being a ‘proper’ critic and, let’s be honest, why would you want to be? Over-the-top explosions and vulgar language? TAKE MY MONEY! Oh, you already did? Well, it’s a good job I enjoyed myself otherwise we’d have a problem… Now, what was I saying?"
