Decent job - far better than I could do, but Maiden/Dickinson is definitely not suited for him. On the other hand, Erik Grönwall KILLED it, including having an on stage presence and energy to match Bruce's energetic antics and crowd engagement.

I have learned from this series, and from the comics, that if Thor ever says "I would have words with thee", it's definitely NOT a good thing, and his definition of "words" is quite different from what I was taught in school.

I for one, definitely never want Thor do decide he wants to have "words" with me. Never ends well for whoever he's having "words" with. ;-)

"I know it is from 1010 WINS, but I just want to know what is the name of this theme and who composed it? This theme is not from Foster Kent. This is the one of the old 1010 WINS themes. If you know who composed this, please say so."

"Construction Site" by Ib Glindemann - you can find it on YouTube here: Construction Site by Ib Glindemann (The Original 1010 WINS Sounder)

Only a portion of it is used (and then it is faded out into the background and then totally faded out).

During the years, additional music has been used along with it (as an intro or outro to the sounder).

Here's four variants of the 1010 WINS sounders where you can hear such mixed into "Construction Site". Some of that additional music is what Foster Kent is known for composing.

I saw this in the theater on opening night... and I'm not ashamed to say I cried (as did many around me)... :-(

It was surreal. During the countdown, as the Klingons were being blown up, the theater went wild...

...cut to the exterior shot, and the gravity of what's going on sunk in, and the theater went dead silent. It couldn't have been quieter if no one was in there. There would be no reprieve this time... no last second miracle from Scotty... this time, she was really gonna die... the character that became the symbol for all of what's good in humanity was finally meeting her end. Yet, as with her life, she died saving her crew... which didn't make it less painful (though it did give it meaning).

It (the TOS era through the movies) was an interesting time growing up, watching as humanity started growing, with reflections in the TOS episodes of where we were at the time, and where we could be. The crew acted those parts, while Enterprise acted the part of the human spirit and indomitable will... no matter what happened, no matter the odds or her design limitations, we always knew she'd fight on and survive with that tenacity of spirit humanity has when faced with seemingly insurmountable odds...

...until that movie. :-/

We still have a lot of growing up to do... and the symbol Enterprise was, and what she stood for, hopefully will continue to live on in our hearts and souls.

ST:TMP was a significant film despite its 2-hour stretch of a 1-hour episode.  It was the first to introduce the Enterprise as a character, and not just a convenient, government-issued vehicle with a legacy behind the name.  It was also the first time we saw actual Federation infrastructure, to a level of detail not seen since in either TV or movie represenatation.  And, we see people and technology alike making mistakes, shattering the "we've advanced to depend on technology to make our lives better" illusion that earlier TOS episodes constantly relied upon.  It made the Trek universe not only palpable, but even desirable, for we could better relate to it.  Last, but not least, the Enterprise's interior was the best.  It still had the splashes of color we've come to love from the TOS era, while at the same time being far more realistic.  The attention to detail in the Captain's ready-room has never been replicated since.  And the sickbay, in many ways, looked a lot more high-tech than even the Galaxy-class ship's, while still remaining surprisingly true to the TOS sickbay.  New floor-plan notwithstanding.  It also has the best sound track of all the films.

I wish someone would take up working on episodes between TMP and TWOK.  I'd do it myself if I had the disposable income needed to support a studio, volunteer film crew, actors, etc.  Alas, I am not that person.

+BondFreek Funnily, this isn't my video. Nor is it stealing. It is clearly fair use. That aside, now you've delved into harrassment, Fortunately, I have every email and post you've made archived (as does Google). Your friend TrekFreek found out that we were indeed in the right - and YouTube slapped him down for his CRIMINAL infringement. Do you really want to keep playing this game?

Well JJ specifically said that he had to make Star Trek for movie fans more than Trek fans.

I know what you mean though.. some things in those movies were retarded.  Such as Kirk bumping into old Spock and Scotty on a vulcan moon.  Or the beaming from Earth to Kronos that made starships obsolete.. dear oh dear.

Introduction
My name is Robert Mauro. I’m the adventurous, laid back type, with a variety of interests and life experiences. Somewhat geeky, yet still have varied non-geek interests and abilities (like anything outdoors, building things/construction, working on cars, etc).

I’ve worked in the computer world (as a programmer, web designer and A+ Certified Repair Technician), done commercial and residential construction, waited tables, cooked in various restaurants and more. I am an expert in all versions of OS/2 from v2.0 beta through eComStation 2.1 and Warp Server for e-Business v4.52 CP2 PF (OS/2 is still used by numerous massive companies, in places the public never sees).

Besides the computer related stuff I do right now, I am the Line Producer, Gaffer, Webmaster and Forum Admin (among other things) for Retro Film Studio's Star Trek New Voyages/Phase 2 and Buck Rogers Begins Teams.

During what “downtime” I have from my regular work, and my rather expensive “hobby” (Star Trek Phase 2), I enjoy hanging out with my friends, reading, watching movies, the outdoors, cooking for friends and loved ones, video games, the beach, or simply vegging out.

Terrible pizza - and they have no clue what "extra cheese" means - the pie had less cheese on it than the pizza place near my house puts on when I *DONT* order extra cheese. Crust, seasoned and all, was rather plain tasting. Good service though - for what that's worth.

If you are looking for a fancy tablecloth restaurant with an air of uber-rich fine dining, then Sweet Basil is not for you. On the OTHER hand, if you are looking for a restaurant with a comfortable, home-like decor, and EXCELLENT food and service, this is a must stop at place! They have a very good salad bar, amazingly generous sized entrees and appetizers, and a friendly and proficient staff. I definitely suggest the prime rib - unreservedly. If you REALLY like prime rib, try the "King Cut" (but better bring a BIG appetite). No matter what size you get, it'll be an amazing steak experience. Personally, I like my normal steaks well done. I am always leary of getting prime rib well done, since it generally turns out charred. Sweet Basil, like so few other places I've found, seems to slow cook theirs, ensuring that even a well done prime rib can be cut with a butter knife (not that they don't give you a big steak knife - but I had to try when I realized how tender and juicy my well done cut was). Flavorful, big proportions, and cooked the way prime rib should be! Worth the stop if you're anywhere near it!

SmashBurger is probably the best "fast food" burger place on Long Island, and the first I've been to here where the burgers look like the pictures. I highly recommend them, even though they are pricier than places like McD's.
