I am currently downloading OS X Mountain Lion onto my sweet little MacBook Air. It's 4 Gigs, it's going to take a week on our olde worlde rural broadband.
I can't think of the last time I upgraded a computer knowing as little as I do now about this update. Somehow there was a time when I knew about this stuff, maybe I should correct that to, 'was interested' in this stuff.
I've given the comments on the App store a mere cursory glance. 'It's rubbish' and 'everything on my Mac exploded and more than balanced by 'brilliant' and 'the best update ever in the history of the entire universe.'
If I never post on Google + again, that's because the MacBook Air went ppphhhhtt!

Lee Ball+1Ummm, excuse me sirs, umm, but Ubuntu IS Linux4 Sep 2012
I think a lot of that is because the upgrades from years back made significant strides in any new version of an OS. These days things have become pretty stagnant, and the updates are, at best, minimal, at worst purely cosmetic or just to force a companies vision of what an OS should be onto a public who don't want/need it (see Win8)
