Sunset~Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA
Photographed at Manatee Sanctuary Park on the Intracoastal Waterway of Florida's Space Coast with Nikon D-7200.

Unobstructed clouds to start, along with a short wall of clouds on the horizon at the end, made this sunset shoot a real challenge, but I received a brief second chance with this tiny slit in which the sun was able to peek through the clouds at the very end. ~Happy Sunday~

Becky's Flower Garden~Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA
Nikon D-3300~ISO 800, Focal Length 195mm @ F14 #Macro

Our other roommate John recently made a new flowerbed for Becky beneath our magnolia trees, where I was able to catch some very interesting light for this shot of Becky's blooming Christmas cactus. ~Happy Wednesday~

"Okay, Now I'm Mad!" ~ Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA
Nikon D-3300~ISO 800, Focal Length 240mm @ F14

Remember the previous photo I posted this heron and lizard? As you can, the lizard is definitely losing this fight. Hopefully, your day will be much better. ~Have a great week~

Sunset~Titusville, Florida, USA
Photographed on the St. Johns River with Nikon D-7200

The mostly flat terrain without a cloud in the sky posed quite a challenge for a sunset shoot, but I was lucky enough to get some color on the horizon once the sun was down, so I took aim on this boat returning to the launch. ~Happy Sunday~ :-)

St Johns River~Titusville, Florida, USA
Nikon D-7200~ISO 400, Focal Length 105mm @ F5.6

A friend called the other day and asked if I wanted to try a sunset out by the St. Johns River. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, but I chose to view the opportunity to shoot some landscapes and an eventual sunset as a challenge. And then these three guys showed up to make it interesting. Happy Wednesday

Swan~Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA
Nikon D-7200~ISO 800, Focal Length 210mm @ F10

I was on my way to Manatee Park for a sunset shoot when I spotted a pair of swans on this retention pond and turned around for a few shots. I could not help thinking, as these swans swam right up to me, of my younger brother being chased by several swans when we were small kids. No one ever figured out what Chris had done to anger those swans. He did not relate well to animals when he was young, but these swans seemed happy to pose for a few photos. Happy Tuesday :-)

I made it out to Manatee Sanctuary Park for the sunset New Year's Eve. A wedding was just wrapping up and there was very little action on the horizon, but I enjoyed the evening and still managed to come away with a couple of shots that I liked. I am particularly fond of this composition. Enjoy your Sunday and have a great week. :-)

Osprey~Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA
Nikon D-3300~ISO 800, Focal Length 300mm @ F10

I saw osprey hunting down by the water and decided to seat myself amid a flock of white ibis, when this osprey decided to glide overhead to see what the ibis were up to. ~Happy Thursday~

Where Did You Come From? ~ Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA
Nikon D-3300~ISO 800, Focal Length 300mm @ F14

I was poking around down by the water and noticed a couple of squirrels playing/chasing around at Carver's Cove, so I quietly worked my way around for a better position. The squirrel that was doing the chasing (presumably a male) spotted me and froze long before this one (presumably female) nearly ran into me before it too froze, but only for a moment, allowing this one shot before it altered course and ran off. ~Happy New Year~
