Not the most scenic hotel I've ever been in - it's located just off the main road behind a Dunkin Donuts and Red Lobster, and you can see the Grand Central Mall behind it. Our room had a view of the Batteries Direct store next door. And getting in and out of the parking lot/main road is awkward at best. But none of that matters. Our room was spotless, and looked inviting without being gauche. Satellite TV had all the channels my wife and kids needed, and the TV itself was nice - about 37" and on a swivel base. Refrigerator was adequate size. Microwave wasn't used, but looked like your standard small microwave. There was a small table and rolling chair in addition to a round end table next to an armchair, and between the beds was a nightstand with a light for each bed, and a small box with two outlets and two USB ports for all your charging needs. The climate control units are all digital, too, so you can set your preferred temperature and leave it. The pool was smaller than I expected, but we were pretty much the only people in it during or two-night stay. The temperature was pretty comfortable, though, and the hot tub was amazing. Breakfast is pretty good for a sub-$100/night hotel. Eggs, sausage, bacon. I wouldn't rave about them, but for free, it was great. The bagels could use some work, though. Dry and crumbly. Overall, this was one of my best stays ever, and if we had back to Parkersburg again, I won't hesitate to stay here.

The hotel was reasonably close to Luray Caverns, but not as close as travel sites claim (about 20 miles as opposed to the claimed 10). Our room was clean and well-equipped for such a cheap room (microwave and a fairly big refrigerator with a small freezer section!). Staff were friendly. We didn't check out the breakfast, but with a Denny's literally connected to it, you have a good option if it doesn't work out for you. Only issue we had is neither of our beds had a fitted sheet on it. Not kidding. We just slept on top of the flat sheet - not a big enough deal to bother contacting the front desk, but incredibly bizarre. I did mention it when we checked out, and the woman seemed truly baffled as well. Overall, it's a good place to stay overnight, but I'd go for something a bit more upscale for an extended stay.
