A bit older but quite interesting. The SID waveforms & frequencies are used (like in MP3) to play samples. With this technique it is possible to pitch / tune the sample and even use the build in SID cut off filter.

An Schas tut man damit!

A very cool SID demo, which makes use of 8-bit samples. The samples are not played the "usual" way by changing the volume. The makers of the demo used one voice playing in sawtooth mode with different durations and then resetting the voice to zero. The duration gives the sample amount. One cool side effect, this kind of samples also run on new SIDs.

Pex 'Mahoney' Tufvesson has since invented yet another way of playing samples on the SID

CES 1985, when Commodore presented the "Commodore LCD" see: http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=1&c=108
On the picture you can see Bil Herd, a creator of several Commodore computers.

This year’s CES has dredged up some memories. I had assumed that as one becomes old they are supposed to become used to memories of a young vigorous person that shared their body and memories leaving little else except some scars and some old stale socks…

I wish I could've been there.  Seems like the kind of places I should've been instead of fucking stupid convention where the computers were not (but lots of stupid idiotic, moronic, completely useless "people" were)!  Yep, should've been there and other such places somehow! hehehehehehe

Top!
