Born June 15, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. Attended Daniel J. Corkery School in from 1955 through 1959, and Grace Evangelical Lutheran School from 1960 through 1964. Graduated from Luther High School South in 1968. A.A. from Wilbur Wright College (1974). BA from Concordia College, River Forest (now Concordia University Chicago) in Liberal Arts (History major, English minor) in 1981. M.Div. from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa in 1986. Pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church in Webster Groves, Missouri from 1986 to 1989. Pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kellogg, Iowa and St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in rural Sully, Iowa from 1989 to 1999, and St. Mary Lutheran Church in Des Moines, Iowa from 2008 to 2010. Employed by Pinkerton Government Services at Northrup Grumman Independence Center, Chantilly, Virginia in 2004. Pastor of St. Mary's Lutheran Church in Des Moines from 2007 through May of 2010.
President of Wilbur Wright College Student Government and City Colleges of Chicago Student Unon. Debating team at Wright. Features editor at Truman College Word. Worked full time in several pollitical campaigns. One of the few people to have been a delegate to the conventions of both parties here in Iowa. Represented both Fort Des Moines area in Des Moines and Saylor Township on the Polk County Republican Central Committee. Taught a course on Astronomy, Science Fiction and Space Travel for Des Moines Public Schools Talented and Gifted Program's January Institute for several years.
