Authorities have warned from the start that the pair of fugitives might get their hands on guns. Matt had. And it may have been his undoing at that moment. Matt didn’t shoot, but he also didn’t comply with officers’ order, so they opened fire.
A member of the tactical unit opened fire, hitting Matt three times in the head with a semi-automatic weapon, according to a New York State Police news release Sunday. An autopsy showed he died of “severe skull fractures and brain injuries.”
“We recovered a 20-gauge shotgun from Matt’s body at the location,” said D’Amico.
Matt’s body was transported to Albany Medical Center for an autopsy, according to the state police. Toxicology results are pending.
Matt also had “bug bites on the lower extremities, blisters, and minor abrasions consistent with living in the woods for three weeks,” according to the state police release. Earlier, a source familiar with the investigation said police on Friday also found Matt’s underwear in an old outhouse and a test showed it had his DNA.

Over the past 4 years, this social platform has impacted my life, changing it for the better. I've met countless, amazing G+ers that have become very close friends, building long lasting relationships and I've also embarked on a new career path thanks to the nature of this platform. There's no doubt in mind that the core community of this network includes the most engaging people out there.
Google, thanks for building it and to all of you, thanks for making what it is, a true social network, something beyond status updates.
Happy Birthday again and ! Here's to many, many more. Fingers crossed.
Let's let Google know why they should continue to invest in this value added, life changing service.
All these things are real. I swear to you.
Since I started with Android themeing last year, all my works have been free and I haven't earn so much money with them.
I won't say that I haven't earned anything, but all donations went directly for something.
First donations, went directly to pay my Google Play Developer account. And I didn't get the money, someone else did it for me, to help me, because all this time I have been getting problems with my bank account.
Later donations, were for me to be able to buy apps to support other developers. Again, as I was getting problems with the bank account, I couldn't buy them, and again, someone else helped me.
My website domain, and design, was also a donation.
I won't mention people, but you know who you are, and I'm thankful with you.
But as you can see I haven't been able to take the money directly to so something better for my life or future.
And, just in case you don't know, I'm the "designer" (in quotes because I don't consider myself one) behind Fimbo, Ertz, Frames and Melior UI.
And the "developer" (again in quotes for the same reason) behind the dashboard apps of some of your favorite icon packs, like, just to mention: Polycon, Candycons, KMZ, YAFI, Elementary, Void, Glare, Unico, Cygnus, Oblique, and many others I can't remember at the moment.
Just yesterday, I could finally set up the PayPal account, which I have been trying to do for some months without success.
That's why I'm sharing it so much.
Because this time, all the money I could earn there, will be used to pay my university, and I'm not gonna lie.
You're free to believe it or not, I just wanted to be sincere because I know you may think: "What does he want to buy? A mansion?" ... And no, that's not in my plans.
I don't expect every person donating $50, $100, etc.
But if enough people donate $1, or $2, or $5 ... at the end I may get my goal.
All my works may continue existing if enough people donate. I won't say that will make them paid, because is something I can't because of country restrictions. But if you like them, help to keep them alive.
Many people leave comments in PlayStore like: "make it paid" or "I want to give you some money" but at the end, nobody do it.
At the moment I have only get 2 donations, and earn $12. I hope you understand, and I hope I can count on you all, the same way you have been supporting me to continue working on my projects.
So, if at the end you want to donate, it can be done only via PayPal. I can't have a wallet account.
My mail for PayPal donations is: email@example.com
And as an "extra", I decided to sell a couple things:
1. Frames Wallpapers Pack source:
$20 as it is with no future updates. $60 as it is with lifetime updates (they may take some time, but I'm sure I won't leave the app as it is).
2. Dashboard app for CM themes: $25.
3. Vector portraits: $4.
In case you want to buy any of these things, contact me before, via hangouts or email.
I'm not sure if it's too much, but I have seen people asking for more. Even, asking payments every year.
Thanks in advance for every one of you who donate. Every single buck is welcome. If you can't do it, at least share this, so more people can know about it and support.
Have a nice day.
