Facebook has plotted the degrees of separation of everyone using their service. I'm currently at 3.32.
In honor of Friends Day, we've recalculated the classic 'Six degrees of separation' statistic for everyone who uses Facebook and determined that the number is actually 3.57. Each person in the world (at least among the 1.55 billion people active on Facebook) is connected to every other person by an average of three and a half steps.

This game would be perfect for XBL/PSN. Especially if you want to learn who on your fireteam/friend's list works well as a group. Or maybe you just want to see how well you and your Significant Other communicate.

Heard about this game on the DLC gaming podcast. Sounds like a new idea that could work well. I can imagine +Morgan Copeland, +Shane Howell and +Olivier Tse yelling in frustration.

Yep, I've read versions of this story several times over the years. Been going on forever. It's why I can't stand "hits" radio.

Spaceballs, y'all. The search for more money begins.
The Spaceballs movie was notorious at spoofing the Star Wars franchise, and is at it again. With The Force Awakens having been released, it would make sense to

Amazon has a Black Friday deal that doesn't suck. This is considered one of, if not the, best routers on the market. At the time of posting, it's $150.

I'll let you know after it comes in. My WiFi router is pretty old, so I'm hoping to see speed gains.

They found salt water on Mars which means life is not just possible but highly probable. Do we have an ethical responsibility to leave it be or should we just see it as an opportunity to further humanity's spread throughout the solar system?
New findings from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) provide the strongest evidence yet that liquid water flows intermittently on present-day Mars.

Anybody read Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy? "Red Mars," in particular deals with this topic extensively. But to the question, I say that Mars is about to become part of our ecosystem and should be treated as such. Or wait ... I mean, shouldn't be.

He had not seen the article: "I wasn't aware of that; thanks for sharing! Hope you enjoy the book."

Was hoping for his viewpoint on it. I'll let you know if he follows up.
